A real luxury getaway - set amongst the hills of the King Valley and in easy reach of nearby vineyards. Lovely accommodation with everything you need and the meal in by the open fire in the main dining area of the homestead was delicious and accompanied by local wines. Breakfast was a real treat looking out on the frosty fields. Friendly hosts - many thanks.
My wife and I stayed at Casa Luna for a couple of nights and really enjoyed our time there. It’s a beautiful location and the accommodation was very good in our quiet, comfortable queen bed suite. The kookaburras were our alarm clock on the second morning! The highlight for my wife and I was however the dining room not just for the delicious food but also for the pleasant ambience and the chance to chat with our hosts and our fellow guests over pre-dinner drinks. It’s a warm and comfortable room with lots of good books to borrow, a sofa and given the surprisingly cold weather, an open fire! The food was excellent at both dinner and breakfast and the wines served were all local and likewise excellent. We used Casa Luna as a base to visit Lake William Hovell, the spectacular Paradise Falls (not to be missed) and of course some King Valley wineries - Chrismont and Politini were great. Overall we had a most enjoyable stay - thanks very much David and Gwenda! …
We stayed at Casa Luna in a King Suite and had a totally relaxing weekend, what a gem of a place, we had beautiful food, the scenery was magnificent and the hosts Gwenda and David were so friendly and helpful. This is truly a magnificent place – God’s Country! We will definitely return.
Four of us went to stay at a highly recommended gourmet accommodation location - Casa Luna. To say we were not disappointed is a classic understatement. Gwenda and David have created this piece of paradise with their own hands and boy have they done a great job. We stayed in the King Suites and they were fabulous. We had a lounge room between the two rooms. The rooms were beautifully set out and contained everything you would want in luxury. Gwenda and David were the perfect hosts and the food was magnificent. All food was locally sourced and cooked to traditional Italian style. It is a little oasis in an area renowned for its beauty. Do yourself a favour and book now!!
Driving down a dirt road shortcut to bypass Whitfield we passed the remnants of what looked like a back burn. On arrival we were told that the Queen booking we had (because that was all that was available as three other couples had a group booking) was being upgraded to a King because the others had arrived and cancelled due to the bushfire. Anyhow what a superb bit of architecture in such a serene, if isolated, setting. The comfortable room and excellent facilities and public areas are designed to maximise relaxation and de-stressing. Dave and Gwenda are unobtrusive but helpful hosts and guides. Our original booking was for two nights with the intention of then going to Beechworth but we were so taken with Casa Luna we decided to spend our third night there as well. Breakfasts are a real treat in design, presentation and taste. We are not heavy eaters and had only one dinner which was simple (as requested) and excellent. We've already recommended it to friends and would love to return in the future.…
