We stay here a few times a year and this trip we were offered a loyalty card which will entitle us to a free night after ten paid nights! Love, love, love it!! Also, we visited on the very busy Saturday of Labor Day weekend and, as guests at the Inn, we got a "reservation" for the restaurant that entitled...

The hotel has a very quaint and friendly atmosphere. All of the staff was very nice and helpful. The complimentary cookies in the evening were great! The breakfast was good. The pool area was great! The room was a good size. Walking distance to the Essenhaus restaurant and bakery.

If you are thinking about staying in Shipshewana or anywhere in the area this is the place to stay. The inn is beautiful and the grounds are manicured perfectly. When we were told the only room left when we checked in was in the old section I was a little worried. As soon as we entered the atrium where our...

I've been staying here almost thirty years. Great spot to stay with a group. The public spaces are very homelike, comfy and private. Great food, lovely shopping and roomy bedrooms make it great for a girls weekend out.

Home style cooking, portions standard sizes, nothing really large, but weren't skimpy. Food was good, but nothing outstanding, although the pie was fantastic! My husband had the fresh peach pie and it was amazing! Excellent service. Shops are cute and fun to look around, either after you eat or if you have to wait for a table.

The Essenhaus Inn & Conference Center is conveniently located in the heart of Amish country. My wife and I needed to "chill" for a couple days, and we were very happy we chose this place. The grounds and ambiance promote a sense of relaxation and well-being. The landscaping was beautifully maintained. I was amazed by the cleanliness (even the stairwells)...

I had no idea what I was in for when my mom planned a weekend road trip out to northern Indiana with accommodations at the Essenhaus Inn. The hotel was amazing!!! We were able to stay in "the original" part of the hotel which had more of a feeling of home and not a hotel, all of the rooms opened...

It was a group of us staying for a couple days. The staff go out of their way to serve you. The meal that they serve were excellent! The room was set up well with beverages and snacks. We had the opportunity to meet the owner… What a great story they have. The original owner continues to wait on tables...

Took a girls road trip and loved this hotel. The common areas were large and comfortable with several extra restrooms available. The furniture was like you were in your own home. Tea, coffee and hot coco were available 24/7. The breakfast was well stocked with lots of choices although it was difficult to get a table during peak hours. They...

The Essenhaus, in our opinion, is the best destination restaurant in the region. In addition the entire campus is impeccably maintained to a very high standard of excellence. From the gift shops to the Inn and Conference Center to the golf course and Heritage Hall Entertainment Center you will not be disappointed with your visit to Middlebury. We have been...
