Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

WOW. We stayed in the Red gum villa. What a beautiful place, nothing is to much trouble. Stunning views and picturesque views, amazing hot tub. Lovely complimentary dried fruit, cheese and wine. Free Breakfast provisions including jam, bread, yoghurt and juice yummy! They even got me lactose free milk!! Do yourself a favour and stay at this incredible place. Only thing I might suggest is comfier pillows as they were quite flat but thats just me nitpicking if I had to. Heated flooring in the bathroom area. Please read instructions in the booklet provided to use the hot tub as we didn't and it was frustrating 😂. They have free WiFi, which we used at night to watch Netflix on the TV. Indoor fire place which doesn't give off much heat but they have a heating and cooling system if needed. I would say maybe to Make this place even better they could provide eggs and bacon and an option for breakfast I thought they were included under the "provisions" but was mistaken if I had known they weren't provided would have brought them with me. 😊 overall it's an amazing place and I can't wait to go back already. ❤❤

Celebrating a birthday, an anniversary and a last hurrah with our daughter and partner holidaying from O/S we decided to spend it at Pike River and wow we were not disappointed. We felt like royalty! The villas are spectacular, beautifully appointed and have so many additions to be appreciated like Play station, DVDs, magazines, CD's and games. The views are spectacular, from the spa, the balcony, the bed (the star gazing skylight is awesome), bathroom and even the toilet!. The fruit platter, Continental breakfast including fresh OJ and complimentary wine and wine tastings @ the wine Centre were greatly appreciated. Everything is run by buttons on the wall which took a while to navigate lol. Fire looked lovely but didn't provide much heat unfortunately but other than that no downsides at all. Would highly recommend

Great set up. We have stayed at the woolshed as a family before and wanted somewhere smaller, Dusk suited us. Great view of the river, designed to a high standard with all you need for your stay including a spa on the deck. Comfortable bed, wet room, full kitchen and BBQ. What a great escape.

This is a lovely place, it is very clean and well appointed. The beds are comfortable but do have an annoying rim on the floor which takes getting used to. Sounds trivial but it is definitely a trip hazard. The breakfast provisions and snacks are really great, the staff are friendly and the view is magnificent. It is adjacent to the Riverland Wine Centre which does good food and tastings.

Came here for part of our honeymoon and it was awesome - very, very secluded with all the amenities you could want.

BBQ and spa on the deck are the highlights, as is the retractable roof to see the stars (though it would be nice if the glass was cleaner, but anyway).

Recommended!

We visited for a relaxing holiday to celebrate my partner's 30th birthday. No request was too much! Brok cooked us an amazing meal in our villa and it was the best experience. The food was incredible and his service was clean and professional. The accommodation and facilities were amazing and we thoroughly enjoyed the relaxing atmosphere. We truly had a fantastic break and we will return. Thank you

The facilities at this location is fantastic. We stayed 3 nights with an indulgence package. The facilities were very clean and had ample food inclusion.

The surroundings and views are beautifully just as a good as in the pictures on the website.

Staff are fantastic and very accommodating nothing too much troubles.

We stayed in the "Stone" villa for two nights proceeding our wedding and it was amazing. This property is very private and ultra luxurious. Everything you could want has been thought of - coffee machine, wine, gourmet cheeses in the fridge, under floor heating, dvd's, books, heated spa on the veradah and of course the ceiling over the bed opens up to reveal the stars! There is an emphasis on sustainability and the property recycles waste, uses solar power etc.

A good place to go if you want to stay put for a couple of days and really get away from civilization as most of the activities & sites in the area are a bit of a drive away. A bit tricky to find if you are arriving at night. The owners leave you alone (unless you want something!) and the place is yours to walk down to the river bank and soak up the sun.

Yes it is pricey but we have stayed at B&B's and holiday rentals all around South Australia (Barossa, Yorkes, Fleurieu) and this is the most luxurious and private we've seen. I can't comment on the two newest clifftop villas as they have been built and completed since our stay.

Ok I was going going to keep this place a secret but it's a gem of a place and people need to know about it. After a leisurely drive through the Adelaide Hills and a brunch stop at Angaston in the Barossa Valley we arrived at our accommodation at Pike River and stayed in Redgum. I chose this one as we were celebrating my husbands birthday and the decor was fantastic....cue indoor waterfall!! Familiarise yourself with the workings of this fully self contained unit and appreciate how spectacular it is. Complimentary cheese and fruit platter and bottle of wine as you enjoy the wonderful sunset. The outdoor spa on the balcony was amazing as we watched the sunset over the river view wow! The bbq pack is generous as is the continental breakfast. Did I mention the open fire in the bedroom which has magnificent views of the river and flick a switch and the ceiling becomes a glass window to star gaze as you fall asleep! Stay a couple of nights to really appreciate it. We ventured into Renmark and visited the antique shop and Angoves winery for a tasting and then back to paradise via the Lyrup ferry. Enjoyed a secluded walk by the river, another spa and cooked the remainder of the bbq pack. Bliss! There are a few more surprises but you can discover those. Returned to Adelaide via the Barossa for lunch at Artisans and felt rejuvenated.

My husband booked our stay here as I surprise for my birthday, I had been wanting to come and stay for a while.
We are staying in Dusk. The villa has everything you need and more, stunning views and all the little touches of luxury you would expect. Very well designed and fitted out. Unfortunately we have not been able to get the spa hot the whole time we have been here, the first night we used it luke warm as it was a lovely warm night, but no matter how we tried we could not get the temperature up to a warmth to which we could use it again. A massive disappointment for us as we love sitting in the spa with some bubbles. Its one of the main reasons why we wanted to try pike river villas. A shame that this affected our stay.
