Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

My room was incredibly clean & well-appointed and presented. There was plenty of tea & coffee provided in the room, oh, and milk. In contrast these days, some places only provide a jug without the tea & coffee.

The dining room was equally as clean, and while the menu was as expected pub fare (which is quite fine as I find too many pubs these days try hard to be fine dining & fail). The meals were of good proportions & I really could not find fault.

The car park has good access, no awnings and posts to negotiate with larger vehicles.

From check in on arrival to check out all of the staff that I encountered & interacted with were incredibly & genuinely friendly.

Great location, helpful, lovely staff, & a good price. Accomodating & happy staff. Good size rooms. Unusual ammenities, really great idea - other than restaurant, there is a buffet for workers in a mess area & they provide breakfasts & lunches for them too. Would definitely stay again. Only thing is no microwave or cutlery or plates in room so need to use mess area facilities for these. Thanks guys hopefully stay again next year.

It’s hard to find motels in Central Queensland you’d rave about but Dooleys in Springusre and Capella are a unique find. Both are modern, clean, crisp sheets, walk in shower, great air con, friendly staff and it’s a 2 minute stroll to their own pub and bistro. What else do you need? It’s like an oasis in the dusty west….but luckily instead of water this oasis has lovely cold wine and juicy big steaks. Can’t recommend it highly enough

Even though we’re not far from the highway, there was very little highway noise..slept very well. Comfortable bed. Good little bottle shop and a great little restaurant. Small wine list but you are able to go to the bottle shop to get something different that’s not on the list

Awesome place and facilities, excellent location, run by very friendly and caring people! Dogs are welcome, which means a lot to us. Thank you for sorting out a great dinner for us too, that was very thoughtful on the easter weekend, really appreciated it :)

Excellent accomodation and great meals. The room was of a very high standard, very clean and comfortable. The meals at the Tavern were of an equally high standard and reasonably priced. The motel is very busy and prior booking is recommended.

This is the second time for us staying here. It's the first pet friendly hotel we have come across. We stayed for 3 nights. Our first night found us with no hot water rang the hotel the next morning and they quickly moved us to another room. We ordered our meals for room service and for the price they were huge. Would love to see a microwave in the rooms and maybe a breakfast menu for room service. The staff were very nice and friendly. Will definitely stay again. (Sorry about the colour of my pillow case, it did look pretty cool though.)

A restful, clean, comfortable stop. Pet friendly too. Friendly staff and good food. Very happy.

My experience with pet friendly places is that they're not that easy to come by, Dooleys were great. Tiled floor and pets allowed inside. My 12 old bull terrier, bomb proof and doesn't bark was very comfortable in his sleeping box.

The bed and linen was the best I've slept on in many years. Awoke completely refreshed.

I was really impressed with the staff and facilities. The food was great, home style cooking and the staff were friendly and accommodating. We had to change our booking twice because of a family emergency and they were really helpful and kind. The beds were really comfortable. This will be my number one stop on my travels from Townsville to Roma.

Stayed just the one night, room was large, comfortable & spotless. Hid dinner at the tavern & unusually for me ordered the parmy. It was easily the largest parmy I have ever eaten. Heaps of shredded ham & nice cheese on top. The garlic mushrooms as a side were also excellent.
