Take yourself to our peaceful setting in the Lost World Valley, relaxing on our big verandahs with a nice glass of chilled white wine and staring up at the rugged mountains of Lamington National Park. Maybe you have just taken a stroll through the olive grove or had a swim in our mountain stream by the old bush hut. Perhaps you were feeling energetic and took a walk up the hill to gaze out over the Scenic Rim at sunset. It's hard to think of work now because as you're chatting and enjoying the afternoon light show on the mountains, it just seems that this old farm is a world away. It is not actually. It is only 1.5 hours from Brisbane and the Gold Coast, but who could believe it when you feel this relaxed. Later on and you have just enjoyed a fantastic meal prepared from one of our Wild Lime Cooking School recipes in our fully equipped kitchen, and now your gaze is shifting between the fireplace and the open skies filled with thousands of stars. Nothing to do but relax, chat and perhaps enjoy another glass of wine. Sound Good? Of course it does. We are offering simplistic beauty at its best. What we offer is an invigorating escape from the mundane in a stunning and peaceful wilderness setting. Romantic cottages for couples or Farm Houses for bigger family and friend groups.

Beautiful place to recharge and be in nature. Nathan was a very welcoming host and so patient with the kids. My kids loved all the animals and made beautiful memories. The cottage we stayed in was so clean and comfortable and always helpful when there was dishwashing soap, paper towel and gorgeous smelling mandarin handsoap. The washing machine was also so helpful after a day in the creek. The kayaking down at the picnic spot is a must!

We stayed at the wild lime cottage in early June and it was the best part of our entire stay in Brisbane. The wooden cottage is clean and beautiful with modern luxuries like jacuzzi tub , outdoor shower and a huge fully equipped kitchen. It is also very private (hidden at the end of a slope with a huge lawn /grass area with amazing views). We loved that the sheeps roam freely in the farm and my daughters loved feeding the animals every chance they get. Jodie and Nathan upkeep the place really well. Overall, it was an amazing experience and will definitely recommend Worendo cottages to friends and families . Cheers, Kate

Our family of four had a lovely stay at Worendo Cottages (Treehouse) - excellent facilities, beautiful countryside & excellent management. Our children (under 5) loved exploring and animal feeding. Our host, Nathan, was professional in all our dealings and caring and calm with our children. The children loved being given the responsibility of letting the sheep out in the morning & have been asking about feeding the animals and letting the sheep out ever since! We will certainly return. Thanks so much Nathan and team!

This is my second time visit and I will go back again. - Breath teaking views all around - Nathan is very welcoming and make you a feel like home. He is a great guy - Kid loves the animal feeding in afternoon - This time I stayed in Barracuda cottage, which is very contemporary design , loved it. It has everything you need - from coffee to gas cooktop to washing machine.. and maintained very clean, The bathroom is huge! - The afternoon campire is awesome, Thanks to Nathan he did arrange the campfire, its simply breath taking view in the outside seating area. Tips : - If you want to enjoy movies at night, take DVDs or download it in laptop (dont forget HDMI Cable) which you can connect to TV. - wake up early and go for a walk around the area , the view is heavenly ! - take light winter clothes as it gets a bit cold after the sun goes down :)

This place is absolutely magical with amazing views. It is a perfect escape and we found it so relaxing. Our family stayed in Barcoo Cottage and it very clean, modern and spacious. Host Nathan is very friendly and accomodating. The Cottage offers so many activities such as farm animal feeding, fishing, star gazing, kayaking that kept our 7 year old very occupied and happy. There was never a boring moment. This was a second time for us to stay at Worendo Cottages and we plan to be back.

We just came back from a weekend away at the cottages. We stayed in the barcoo cabin and highly recommend. The location is beautiful and relaxing and the cabins are modern and spacious. Nathan the host is super friendly and helpful. Would highly recommend this place for a family getaway or a nice peaceful adults only escape.

This is a magical place to visit and stay at any time of year. Nathan and Jodie have created a unique and special venue settled magnificently in the amphitheatre of rainforest hills that form part of the Lamington National Park. It’s a Lost World indeed and the radiant night sky has to be witnessed to be believed. It suits romantic couple and huge family events for every reason I can think of. 16 of us gathered for our 50th Wedding Anniversary celebrated with all family members attending. 2 couples and children in the main house, one family in the Treehouse via covered walkway and of course we were fabulously located in the ‘Honeymooners’ cottage a short walk away. I can’t recommend Worendo more highly as a venue for such special large group events. There’s air con and fans if you need in high Summer but we all happily settled at the table for 14 on the verandah at breakfast lunch time and in the evening whilst the children ran and played games on the extensive grasslands below. Being out after dark with cousins was kiddy heaven. There’s even a swing and animal feed time free, if the cows can be persuaded to saunter up from their lush paddocks of grass. One afternoon we drove to roads end in the Lost World Valley. We drove to the road’s end and walked 20 minutes to the Rockpool. It’s a manageable walk for young children but not for people who can’t manage a few inclines and some unstable shallow creek crossings. Glorious deep water that was pure thrill and chill for us all. A perfect weekend in divine accommodation. Thank you Jodie and Nathan our delightful and always helpful hosts. We’ll be back!

Amazing location! The peace and quiet is amazing. If you need to escape and reset, this is the place for you. We travelling with our small kids (3 and 6) and with another family, staying in separate cottages. Nathan and Jody are lovely and so helpful. They give great tips on what is nearby and worth seeing/doing. The afternoon animal feeding was such a hit with the kids (and adults!) and then you settle into a fire and the scenery. We stayed in the Treehouse and it was great, so clean - spotless - couldn't fault it. We had the job of letting the sheep out in morning which the kids loved. We will make it a yearly tradition to come back here, it was so wonderful.
