Now rebranded as the Tasman Holiday Village- this was a reasonably priced cabin stay before we caught the ferry to Tasmania. Quiet clean with a very comfy bed!!! It was one of the older cabins with some updates required but it really suited us. Easy to explore Geelong and surrounds. Friendly staff at reception. Good communication throughout . Book direct to save.

Stayed at Riverglen Holiday park many times and always clean facilities and friendly staff and boy didn't we get a shock when we booked in again, this time for 9 nights on a powered site to find that TASMAN have taken over the park and what a disgrace it is. The communal park facilities were not cleaned prior to our arrival and grass was all over the floor, the showers and toilets were not cleaned, the bins not emptied, very little toilet paper and there was something growing in the hand wash that defied any sort of hygiene. In this day of Covid still being very active in the community and absolutley no cleaning practices evident we had no choice but to leave this park after suffering very unclean facilities for 4 nights. We did advise management of the conditions of the facilities and got told that they would get to it when they hired staff. Not really good enough when we are paying top price for the use of clean facilities. We have asked for a refund of the 5 remaining nights we booked and paid for siting unclean facilities and we have not yet received any money from them. They gave us a written assurance that we would receive a refund and supplied a mobile number that is not connected and after over a week still no refund and calls not being returned. Shonky all the way in my book. We strongly recommend that you go next door or somewhere else! It is with a heavy heart that I write this under the name of Riverglen, we will miss that park.

We have stayed at this Park on a number of occasions to visit relatives. This time we stayed, as a couple, for 4 nights in a 5 bed cabin. The cabin is typical of all such cabins in holiday/caravan parks. It was very clean, all equipment worked, the bed was comfortable, although a little on the hard side as appears to be common in many rooms or cabins. Parking is convenient next to the cabin. Driving into central Geelong is quite easy and a number of shopping centres are nearby.. The Holiday Park is across the road from the park by the Barwon River, which provides an extensive playground for children and plenty of walking tracks. Although there is a sometimes busy road at the front, and our cabin was relatively close to the road, we did not experience any road noise.

We have stayed at this caravan park previously. Since Tasman has taken it over there have been a number of improvements. The cabin we stayed in had new modern furniture to replace the original furniture and a new bed. External painting and some general improvements inside have also been undertaken. A good location opposite a park and the Barwon River and a reasonable price compared with other Geelong options.

We stayed at Tasman Holiday Park (which it is now known as) and whilst overall it was an okay stay, the cleanliness of the cabins need some serious attention. Our cabin was riddled with spider webs, the corners in the bathroom were filthy and the toilet system constantly ran. I had a white tail spider crawl across my pillow and on return home whilst unpacking it seems another white tail spider has hitched a ride home with us! I raised these issues with the fellow on reception upon check out and all he could tell me was the spiders were seasonal and they are unable to let off a mortein spider bomb in the cabin. There were so many children staying in the park and I feel white tail spiders should be of concern to management.

We have been in this park under the former management with no problems. When Tasman group took over early this year there was instant confusion, and a disorganized mess. Communal facilities are often dirty and not cleaned for days. Toilets are often filthy, out of toilet paper and hand soap, bins not emptied, grass overgrown. Bbqs are not not cleaned daily. Management can be told of these problems but often there is no quick fix. We pay good money for a powered site often with no services provided. Sites maybe okay for an overnight stay but not for a holiday or any length of time if you value cleanliness and good hygiene. Sad little park which is perfectly located but in need of better management and more cleaning staff. Six months is more than enough time to take over and get a handle on reservations, maintenance and staffing issues.

Appalling management and tired run down cabins, with doors off their hinges. When we arrived the room was not serviced at all. It then happened again on our last night.
Total chaos, and rather than be contrite or apologetic the rude manager got stuck into me like it was our fault she can’t organise her cleaning staff to do their jobs! Her initial solution was to offer us a refund and suggest we look elsewhere, which was not an option as we were in the park with family. Believe me lady we would have loved to leave this dump!
I asked why the cabin we had couldn’t be serviced, she bluntly said “I’m not doing that” (that figures) asked for a new cabin “we’re full” (BS) could we get some linen “I’m out now I can drop it off later” (sorry to put you out). Finally stormed over later in the evening on in a rage with a new cabin key (so we’re not full eh?) and an alternate lodging address (nope, see above)
Perhaps she was having a bad day, perhaps she’s disappointed that she is running such a dump, who knows but either way give this one a miss. There are much nicer options on the same street!

After breaking down hundreds of kms away from home, these guys fitted us in at the last minute on a Saturday night. Cabin was perfect and very reasonably priced. They went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable and gave us the later checkout and said we could hang around the park after check out until our friends arrived to take us home but ended up letting us stay in our cabin until 3pm with no extra charge so we were comfortable with 3 kids on a very hot day! Highly recommended and a big thanks to the girls in the office. We will be back.. (when the car is fixed) 😂

Stayed a week for medical reasons, close to hospital. Cabin was lovely and clean, park itself nice and clean and quiet Highly recommended and we will be back. Only one recommendation would be if cleaning not provided then put cleaning products in the cabin.

Organised booking and room over the phone and room number was confirmed. When we got there they changed the room and said they didn’t confirm it originally so it can be changed at any time. Didn’t offer any other option or explanation apart from saying someone else is booked in and they are staying longer. Kids beds were not made just mattress protector, no sheets. The website makes the park look much better than it is. Wouldn’t come back.
