I got in town right before a dinner meeting with partners that flew in from Montreal. I had an hour to get settled in and ready. The bathroom wasn't clean and it still had a wet soiled towel and used soap in the shower. The cleaning lady removed the towel, but I had to prompt her to clean the bathroom.... More

I booked two adjoining rooms for six people at the Columbia Club for a downtown Indy girls night out. Upon arrival to the hotel, we were informed by the doormen that no alcohol could be carried onto the premises. Our options were to leave it in the car, or coat check it. No where on the website does it mention... More

If you like staying in hotels that all look alike, don't stay at the Columbia Club. As other reviewers have pointed out, it is a private club with rooms available for non-members. My room was small, but nicely appointed. The bathroom could use an update, but everything worked and was clean. Probably the biggest surprise was my walk-in closet! I... More

Love this place. It's a private club, but has guest rooms available for non-members. Wonderful, grand old hotel with updated rooms. Long history and beautiful building and common rooms. The restaurant and lounge are a treat for the eyes and the other senses as well. Members we have met are very nice and welcoming. Great views of the "Circle". Beds... More

Great historical lobby, weird "elite" feeling on the inside without actually being elite. The decor is very dated inside the guest rooms and the bathrooms are in woeful need of updating. My shower didn't drain. I was checked in for two nights and did not receive house keeping services at all. The biggest problem was that my room was no... More

We travelled to Indianapolis to attend Gen Con. This is our second visit to the city so we knew we wanted to stay downtown. We were initially thrilled to be able to secure a downtown location, but the location is the ONLY thing this "hotel" has going for it. Upon arrival, we were greeted by incredibly friendly, helpful valets (Steven... More

Our family celebrated a wedding last night and we thoroughly enjoyed it! Service, food, and atmosphere were unbelievable. The ballroom in the top floor was just perfect for the event. The Presidential Suite 502 for the after party has a great bat and lovely view of Monument Circle.

We loved staying at the Columbia Club. You can't beat the character of the place, especially the Crystal Terrace with fantastic view of Monument Circle. If you are a history buff or love early 20th century archtitecture this is the place for you. Just an overall great atmosphere. Service was very good and the rooms were nicely updated. Great location... More

I was a little worried about this booking based upon past reviews that said some rooms were not renovated, and others from the usual assorted guest who seem not to like old hotels, plus a dress code that seemed to be all wrong for our 4th of July weekend. Not to worry all turned out great. The room (#804) was... More

As much as I want to give this a 5 star, I can't. I love historical buildings and can overlook a lot of period appropriate quirks, but this hotel needs a once over. I felt the housekeeping was fair and the rooms were average. Had trouble with plugs for charging phones. Most of the lamps and such were plugged in... More
