What a fabulous experience! My small work field team stayed at the Guest House and used the dining room for our meeting space for two days, and it was absolutely perfect!! The attention to every detail of the entire experience was extraordinary. The ambience could not have been more conducive to a productive environment. Breakfast was delicious, John and Karen...

From the initial reservation to departure, everything was perfect. John was great to work with and ensured our stay there was 1st class. To top it off, it was one of the better breakfasts that we've had at a B&B. Oh yes, and the coffee was pretty darn good...

The Prairie Guest House is the perfect place to stay for a small group, family, couple, or just by yourself. The rooms are decotracted nicely and there are several books around the house that tell about the history of The Pairie Guest House. It was both an educational stay and relaxing. We stayed for an FFA convention, and it was...

John and the staff at the Prairie Guest House were the absolute best. The meals were out of this world, the room was stellar and the grounds are beautiful. I loved my stay here and would highly recommend it to anyone in the area.

Prairie Guest House is right across the street from Conner Prairie, our reason for visiting the area. Our host provided us with brochures that showed other things to do as well as a map. He also gave us restaurant suggestions for dinner. Our room, the living room, and the porch where we ate breakfast were all beautifully decorated and very...

We're happy you chose Prairie Guest House rather than a chain hotel, too! Thanks for giving us a shot. We hope you'll stop back in next time you're headed to Conner Prairie.

In the process of scouting Indy's northern suburbs for possible retirement spots, my wife and I spent two nights at the Prairie Guest House. John, Karen, Amber (and Fiona, the B&B kitty) were so welcoming. The rooms are tastefully decorated, comfortable and spacious. Nice common area for board or card games. John served a delicious breakfast of omelets one morning...

My friend and I stayed for one night for a concert we were attending at the Klipsch theater. It is extremely conveniently located to the music center, grocery, etc. We were welcomed warmly by John and it was a very laid back atmosphere. He allowed us to poke our heads into the other rooms that hadn't been checking into yet...

The Prairie Guest House is perfectly located for an evening at Symphony on the Prairie, at Conner Prairie. Located directly across Allisonville Road it is a short walk to the venue which alleviates any parking issues and allowed my wife and me to enjoy a few adult beverages at the concert without having to get behind the wheel. The rooms...

We met 2 couples at the Prairie Guest House for some summer play days. We all winter together in Alabama. The rooms were comfortable and well appointed. There was a nice gathering space where we could play games in the evening. Breakfast was delicious. Thanks, Karen, John, Grant and Amber

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Let us help you to get away from the city and still be close to everything. Excellent food, great lodging, and wonderful nights sleep, and relaxing yoga. When you get here you will know you are in the right place. The Prairie Guest House is a farm-like setting located on 2 acres in Hamilton County Indiana. With beautiful gardens, large native Indiana trees, and our very own barn, the Prairie Guest House takes you back to a simpler time. The mid 1800’s gothic farmhouse has large guest rooms each with their own bath facilities, and great common areas to relax and enjoy your stay here will be comfortable. The early 1900’s cottage houses the kitchen and dinning areas, with a sunroom that glows all day long. We are also very lucky to have one of the best Yoga instructors in the area teach in the Prairie Yoga Studio located across the courtyard from your guest room. Directly north of Indianapolis only 30-45 minutes to downtown Indy. ... more   less
