The staff was friendly and the lobby was clean. The room was the standard room with a small bathroom. The sheets were to large for the mattress and the pulled off during the night. This property does not meet Marriott standards, particularly that of one of the "upper" level hotels. There is a new manager, but he's only been there a few months. We spent 2 nights here attending a local wedding. Our room was comfortable and spacious, although the shower was a bit cramped. The lobby had plenty of seating. First the only thing that saved this hotel from getting the worst raiting was the fact the GM was super nice and handled my issues in a very professional manner. As for the rest of the staff, they could use some training. First impressions driving up was the hotel was older and in need of a fresh coat of paint....

One of the sole reasons I stayed here with my kids was to take advantage of on site restaurant. Upon arrival to eat breakfast, I was informed the cook was out today and there were only cold items available. This is my second visit within a month for business. This property does everything right at the standard Marriott lays down for the CY brand. What makes the difference is the people. As a gold elite member was never told "sorry Marriott booked you into the wrong type of room and we can do nothing for you. You will have to call yourself to find another location to stay" by a rude uncaring front desk worker and same message from the flustered manager. Just had it happen at the courtyard by Marriott...

I was not able to make a reservation prior to my trip to Columbus, so was pleasantly surprised when I walked into the Courtyard and was able to obtain a room. The hotel isn't so special. Checkout was great...got charged another $533 for a prepaid (hotels.com) room due to a blunder by the clerk...who was pretty belligerent, insisted I had to pay, but couldn't provide documents to prove it. A promise to reimburse from the manager hasn't happened three days later. So..if you like paying double for a hotel...go here. Enjoy...
