I cannot speak to the reviews from 2015, but our visit in June of 2016 under new manager Sarah was fantastic. The natural beauty of the place cannot be adequately described here. The sleeping tents, dining facilities and grounds were better than any of the many Glamping resorts my family and I have visited, and we have been to some...

This luxury destination has a keen focus on delivering personalized service, excellent food, and well organized activities with friendly, knowledgeable and enthusiastic staff. When combined with the scenery, luxury tents and activities, this is the best choice for luxury Glamping on Vancouver Island. The new executive chef, pastry chef, and resort manager are a wonderful complement to seasoned guides, sommelier,...

It has been several years since we were there but the food, accommodations and everything there is just the best. Activities are well planned with something to interest everyone. It is just an unusual trip that you should experience. It is expensive but well worth the price. From the reports i heard it has just gotten better.

I don't normally write reviews but decided to jump on the bandwagon recently. Clayoquot has been on the back of my mind and I wasn't going to write about our stay in September last year but feel people need to know what this resort is really like. We were really looking forward to our 3 night stay in Clayoquot but...

Some issues could be related to an abrupt change in management while we were there--but generally this experience was not up to the level of other, much less expensive Relais & Chateau wilderness resorts in Chile we visited during the past year. The tents were nice but nothing to get excited about (though I did love the outdoor shower), the...

Dear Christine, thank you very much for taking the time to write about your visit to Clayoquot Wilderness Resort last season. Although I am always saddened when any client had less than a magnificent stay with us, your reflections and opinions are vital in our efforts to continually improve the overall guest experience. Allow me, on behalf of the new...

This was my second visit to Clayoquot. The first was 6 years ago. It is nothing like I remember. The staff was tired and irritable (there were exceptions which I will mention). The new management seemed confused and unresponsive. We were told that they had fired the previous managers and blamed them for the fact that things were running so...

Dear Mariedory23, thank you so much for expressing your opinion about your recent stay at Clayoquot Wilderness Resort. I am always grateful to receive heartfelt opinions that can only help us improve the customer experience. Of course, operational considerations are not an excuse for a less than satisfactory stay and quite frankly some of our recent guests have been unfairly...

Absolutely wonderful service. We were blessed with good weather, but chatting to guests who had been before (I'm really jealous!) bad weather just means different activities, and possibly more time hanging round the cookhouse and eating the delicious food. It is very expensive but try to go for seven days rather than anything shorter and you won't be left regretting...

First off the place is land is beautiful. I read some of the other comments about summer camp but this is more like the summer retreat and think the Dirty Dancing camp. It is all inclusive which is good but in our case was not worth it. I feel this place is very pricey, but maybe I am just not...

Dear Russell J, I am so deeply grateful that you took the time to comment about your recent trip to our resort and I am sorry that the weather and the lack of rain appropriate activities lessened your enjoyment of our wonderful region. There were many positive elements to your constructive criticism and I thank you for your kudos to...

Without question, this was the most incredible travel experience of our lives. While it was probably also the most expensive, it was undoubtedly the best value for money. As soon as we arrived, we regretted the fact that we were only staying three nights. Everything about Clayoquot is breathtaking. From the scenery and wildlife, to the rooms and facilities. The...

We travelled to Clayoquot, as a family, at the end of an awesome trip through Alberta and BC. I was slightly nervous that CWR couldn't live up to my hope of topping off such a great holiday. Every minute there was a joy for all of us (helped by meeting some truly lovely guests and the great atmosphere created by...
