It was camping, bring your bug spray! The owners were great. We stayed in a shared bungalow and would have preferred a private place, but our room came with breakfast and that was the BEST!! I walked to the big house for my pot of coffee and then Kathy would bring our breakfast to our porch. It was awesome. Pachamama...

This is the 4th time I have stayed at Pachamama and it just keeps getting better & better... I just cast say enough about the the place. Bill & the gang are the nicest and most helpful hosts I have come across in all my traveling. Punta Uva (grape point) beach is the best beach around. There are plenty of...

My husband and I had the most amazing vacation staying at Pachamama. We were greeted with such incredible hospitality from Bill and his family and were made to feel completely at home. The cabins are beautiful and rustic-you are truly out in the middle of the jungle. We woke up each morning to Holler and Spider Monkeys munching on the...

Two friends and I stayed in the small bungalow for four nights in May 2010. The setting couldn't be better--waking up to the jungle life (monkeys, birds, sloths) is priceless! Bill made us wonderful breakfasts every morning, and being able to borrow bikes (at no cost) to get up and down the road was very convenient. We also borrowed kayaks...

We loved our stay at Pachamama. Loved the house, Bill's breakfasts, kayaking the river and ocean, riding bikes to dinner and beach, beautiful jungle, wildlife, Punta Uva beach, etc. etc. We don't have anything negative to say. Just expect to be in the jungle. The house is nice but it isn't resort living. However, we would trade resort living for...

This was my second trip to the Puerto Viejo/Punta Uva area. Both years we stayed at Pachamama and both years it was amazing. Pachamama sits within the jungle, but is a 2 min. walk from the beach. In speaking with the locals, many have said that the beach we are closest too is the best beach the Caribeean side of...

We stayed for four nights in the Casita, which is a one bedroom little house with a kitchenette, bathroom, and nice porch. Breakfast was delivered to us on the porch. We spent time at night on the porch just listening to the jungle sounds (DEFINITELY BRING EAR PLUGS since the monkeys and roosters are very loud in the early morning...

This place will not be for everyone but, if you have an adventurous spirit you will feel at home here. Punta Uva lives up to it's reputation (a bit rough around the edges) but we had a great time and our teenage son had the time of his life kayaking in the surf with our guide (arranged through Bill's site)...

We loved this place! The location is outstanding, on a River and a 5 minute walk to a beach that is beautiful and quiet. We stayed in Pachamama's two bedroom with two teenage girls and after just one night; both daughters agreed this place was "cool". Full of wildlife and exciting things to do.... We began everyday with "Breakfast theatre"...

We stayed here for four nights and had an amazing time. It really was everything I hoped it would be. We saw monkeys in the trees above our bungalow every day! The beach across the road is gorgeous and uncrowded, and also great for snorkeling (ask Bill or Cathy to tell you how to find the reef). Other highlights were...
