Whist I am not an expert, I have stayed in a few, and this is different to the norm. It's been jazzed up, the reception reminded me of a cab office. The receptionist was very helpful, there was some confusion whether the wifi was free, but it was. The first room we were in was non smoking, but smelled strongly of smoke, and we were given another, which was ok, but the smoke alarm had a plastic bag over it!
The rooms too have been modernised? They're fairly easy on the eye, but a little unusual in their decor. The beds, though quite comfortable, are creaky, and the bathroom door was squeaky, the flooring is cheap.
All in all, I wasn't disappointed. There is plenty of shopping and places to eat nearby. The nearest place to get a drink is over the road to the left, in a pizza restaurant, about 5 minutes walk. The A/C wasn't brilliant.

This is about one of the least pleasant Motel 6 that I stayed. The room is sort of okay, however the location is not good at all. It is right on the main street side, and is very noisy because of the traffic, even during the night. The door & window don't block the noise at all. I was actually waken up in the early morning by a woman talking loud several yards away from my door. Not recommended to anyone who prefer a place of reasonable quietness.

The room was inspired by the simple decor of upscale hotels like The W, not the usual run-down, musty smelling Motel 6. The room smelled clean, the bed was not saggy, but comfortable. Even the bedspread seemed more sanitary, or I had that impression. Everything worked, the cooling system was adjustable. Only thing is that I was under the impression that this Motel 6 serves as inexpensive housing for longer term residents -- guys who hang out on the stairwell to talk on their cell phones, smoke or play 5 notes on a violin (yes, seriously). As a single traveler, that made me uncomfortable. I'm not sure if I'd recommend this place - if you were my sister I'd say no, if you were a male friend who is not a light sleeper, I'd say yes. I slept with earplugs since one of the guys in the end unit insisted on talking on his cell phone for HOURS while sitting in the stairwell. Bed was comfy.

Simply, horrible! I reserved a handicap room with a fridge and a microwave. Needless to say when we arrived to check in we got to a room that was totally opposite, of anything humanly comparative, to what I requested. I ask, what's the point of making a reservation when you already know you have no intentions of holding a room for any person. The deceitful way this business operates is despicable and it gives any other decent motel/hotel a bad stain because of their negligence and lack of empathy for anybody's personal safety or well-being. I hate liars! The moment you open the door the billows of old stale, musty, cigarette smoke overwhelm you and as far as house cleaning there wasn't anything that I was willing to sit down my personal possessions on without cleaning it myself. If it had not been for us traveling on the road all day and physically me just needing to be able to supposedly "rest", we never would have stayed overnight and because of everything the filthiness the overwhelming smoke and mildew smell the people hanging off the railing up above, very unsettling. We were up and getting prepared to leave by 6:00 in the morning although check up isn't until 11:00 a.m., there was no way I was going to spend any additional time in that place. I'm attaching a filth covered wash cloth of theirs, that I used to scrub every door handle, table, banquet and the single hard chair. I cleaned the toilet, the bathroom counter, the remote. I slept in my clothes on top of the cover (thin as a sheet) and shower in the early morning, so I spend no time without a barrier between my body and their rancid hell hole. This is not an option then in your vehicle overnight is a safer and better prospect than this hell hole.

Sorry, I hate to leave bad reviews. But I just have to do this to warn other people from coming here. The whole place feels rundown and scary. Smelled like weed. Room door wouldn’t lock. Not only that, but I think Motel 6’s whole new redesign has really hurt them. The bare tile floors, the new ‘subway look’, it makes the whole place feel cold and not welcoming. I would definitely not recommend this place. Pay a little more and go to the Sheraton four seasons down the street.

Failed to have promised room ready for early check-in, required for the first of two family funerals. Sink slow drain, toilet overflow. Closet consisted of a 4 inch hook, great when you have a car rod full of clothes. Room with queen, but room unbelievably small. We shortened our stay, and did get credited back. Neighborhood rougher than when I grew up in area. Asked for general manager, but was handled by head of housekeeping, who pretended to be manager. Never again.

I don't want to sound harsh, the location is good, but don't expect towels, cups or toilet paper everyday ( even though you pay for your stay, they tend to ration you on these bare necessities) In addition, they sure have a lot of police activity.. guests going wild.. In addition, be careful in the evening and in the early morning, the motel has a lot of critters.. skunks and raccoon's because of trash being left outside by other guests..
My suggestion is to go down the block, same rate, better class guests and you don't have to deal with the management telling you that you must reuse the same towels you have.
I wonder if Tom knows how poorly managed the place really is?

My wife and I needed someplace to stay for a few weeks until our home was ready to move in. So, we went to this Motel. What a mistake. We stayed one night and left. It was freezing out and all rooms have outside doors. We froze going to and from the car. Bare floors, no carpet. They where filthy and cold. The water pressure needs a lot to be desired. If you want to take a bath start filling the tub in the morning so you can bath in the evening. They must be using the same bedding since this place opened. We had no microwave and when I inquired they said you have to order one in advance. So much for reheating left overs. No refrigerator. So, you won't need a microwave. You can't reheat spoiled food. We went down the street to the InTown Suites with a full kitchen and stayed for awhile, and the doors opened on the inside with carpet and warm hallways.

Look under your sheets and you might find as i did pubic hair on the mattress top! Non smoking room had ash trays full of buts and with no reasonable security to the outside door system it was quite scurry. The staff was very friendly. I felt it would be much better to fork over the extra bucks to stay at a diff place. I will never go back.
