Stayed 2 nights in january 2017 and I have to admit I was a bti unsure what to expect - small hotels in the UK are quite variable! However, we got a very friendly welcome, room was pleasant and very comfortable, dinner and breakfast were excellent and its a lovely location, very quiet and on the doorstep of some spectacular...

We had our first Rock Inn experience and joyful time in the summer of 1976 - very hot indeed it was. Now, 41 years later I decided to celebrate my 50th birthday and my family came over from Germany and we all went down to Haytor Vale for a most enjoyable time Its location in the Dartmoor is superb, the...

Great food, good atmosphere and wonderful professional service we had a lovely lunch. We sat in a glass roofed extention we hadn't booked but no problem but I would advise people to book. We are going back in March to enjoys a night at the b & b and dinner. Can't wait!

We stopped here for lunch on a cold January Monday and were surprised how busy this out of the way Inn was. Our experience proved it was no surprise, the food was perfect along with the service we received. A lovely old inn with great ambience. A little pricey but well worth it, will have to return!

A lovely Sunday lunch and very helpful staff ,enjoyed it very much ,the only downside on our last visit was that the sweets were very heavy, it would have been nice to have a panacotta on offer, for those of us who do not like sticky toffee pudding ! We will certainly book again and maybe forgo the pud !

Small country inn on the south east corner of Dartmoor. Hidden away a short distance from Haytor Rocks down a narrow Devon country lane. Down stairs the place is a bit dated with lots of black painted wood and swirly carpets but exactly what you would expect from an ancient English country inn. The dining room is a bit dark...

Stayed recently for a dinner with friends. Staff brilliant, food and drinks superb, rooms and ambiance wonderful. Chosen as the venue for a 50th celebration as it fits the bill in every department and more. After a walk up to the tor there is no better place to enjoy great food and beers by the fire. Bedrooms are lovely too....

We stayed in the Jack Horner room for 4 nights, it was small but very cosy, clean & comfortable and despite being small it had lots of storage space, this room overlooks the courtyard at the back of the hotel. The hotel is well placed, within walking distance of Haytor rocks and the informaton centre at Haytor rocks. There is...
