We stayed at TARA's for 3 nights towards the end of our Australia trip. It was very close to the public transport and getting to/from city center was a breeze. Highlight for me was the extravagant breakfast that Julian and Brom prepare every morning. By far the best breakfast at a B&B I've ever stayed at, hands down! The work...

I stayed at the Tara Guest House on my last night in Sydney before flying out to London. After staying with my mother (91) for a month in August in Sydney, and looking after her, I found myself being looked after by Julian and Brom Rapley to a degree which I have never experienced before at a hotel. The House...

We hope to return to Tara - a great inner city location (close to transport, shops, cafes and bars), wonderful and very generous breakfasts (special diets happily catered for), a beautiful old house and hosts who could not be more welcoming or helpful.

It's taken me just under half a year to sign up to TripAdvisor just to review this place. Brom and Julian were both so welcoming when my mother and I stayed at the end of March when visiting my brother, even offering them the incredible breakfast! My brother didn't partake but the daughter of another guest did and part of...

I stayed 5 nights at Tara this winter and paid close to A$250 per room night. While some may feel that this rate is on the high side, do remember that Sydney is an expensive city. Plus the rate includes daily breakfasts that are just phenomenal, 2-way airport transfers and a fast and stable wifi connection, we feel that the...

Troy and I often visit Sydney for long weekends to get a CBD fix. We live in Coffs Harbour and is an easy 50 min flight. Traditionally staying in hotels opted for a BnB this time around and very pleased we had. Brom and Julian offer the most perfect accommodation and all inclusive package. We were collected / delivered back...

We recently enjoyed our first-time trip in Sydney and Tara is definitely a very good starter. We chose Tara mainly because it takes only about 2 mins to walk to nearest bus station and around 7-10mins to walk to the train station. It has always been a great pleasure talking to Brom and Julian since they are so nice and...

Last week two of us spend a couple of nights at Tara Guest House. We had selected Tara due to its proximity to Royal Prince Alfred Hospital. We were not disappointed! In fact, we were absolutely delighted with our stay. Julian and Brom are just the most wonderful and hospitable hosts. We were picked up at Sydney Airport and, at...

We recently had the absolute pleasure of staying at Tara Guest House and have not stopped raving to anyone that would listen about the wonderful stay we had. As so many before as have said, Brom and Julian (and Oscar) are warm and welcoming hosts, the breakfasts are fabulous and the home is delightful. Tara had everything we needed and...

We recently stayed with Brom and Julian (and Oscar the dog) at Tara for the second time. It won't be our last stay, that's for certain. Tara is a charming oasis of eclectic style, unique personality, warmth, generosity and friendship in an all too increasingly commercialised world. From the street, Tara guesthouse has a delightful, ramshackle charm with its faded...
