An artistic guesthouse. The couple is friendly to travelers anywhere from the world. That makes us feel cozy and close.

Arriving in any city, on your own, at 6.55am after 24 hours in the air can be a daunting prospect. So it was fantastic to know that I had a private transfer arranged and that Julian was only a phone call away. To be honest, it was like meeting an old friend, Julian put me at ease immediately and whisked...

Julian picked us up at the airport with a huge smile and whisked us off to Tara. We met Brom and got settled in. We joined some others at the breakfast table and chatted amicably about our journey and plans for Sydney. Brom printed off a map with highlights showing locations and directions to our destinations and tips on getting...

Brom and Julian thank you very much for your warm hospitality. My husband and I stayed four nights at the end of March. I was conflicted on where to stay as I was concerned with getting downtown to the quay. Don't worry the bus stop is literally at the corner, Brom can give you directions & print a map. The...

Upon arrival back in Sydney after our 10-days in the South Island of NZ, we asked the friendly attendant at the visitor desk to call Julian that we had our luggage and had arrived..The directions to meet him were easy to follow, and we found this wonderful man next to his jeep as promised. After a short drive with highlights...

I stayed here for my first 5 nights in Australia and I couldn't have had a better introductory experience. I was picked up at the airport on my arrival from London: despite the fact that it was 6 am and I clearly wouldn't be able to check in I was made thoroughly welcome, offered breakfast (and quickly regretted my polite...

From the moment Julian picked me up at the airport I was happy with my choice of a B&B in Sydney. Julian and Brom treat everyone who stays with them like family. My room was large, spotlessly clean - a shared bathroom but that wasn't a big deal. Good orientation provided by Brom so you could feel like a traveler...

There is much to admire .. a beautifuly furnished house (don't be put off by exterior ), a friendly welcome, a gargantuan and delicious breakfast, beautifully appointed rooms, lots of help with getting oriented but there are a couple of downsides that some people may need ot be aware of. The house is on a busy road and the old...

My experience with TARA began when Julian picked me up at the airport. We had a lovely conversation and before I knew it we were at the house. My room was spacious and spotless. I had to share a bathroom with another room but it was never an issue. The breakfast is amazing - I have stayed at other B&Bs...

We have stayed with Brom & Julian several times and it has been fantastic each time. The rooms are spacious, stylish and comfortable. The breakfasts are an amazing spread ranging from a cooked breakfast (bacon, eggs etc.) with the best potato latkes I have had to pancakes, fruit and yoghurt and really good bread. The hospitality from Brom and Julian...
