Tara guesthouse is a truly unique boutique accommodation experience in Australia. This grand house with a gritty history is located in cosmopolitan, inner city Enmore and its owners Susan and Julian have restored it lovingly, filled it with fantastic art, and made every room comfortable and stylish. You get so much more than a hotel here: fancy sheets and bedding,...

In Hawaii we have a common saying called the "Aloha Spirit". It is the joyful sharing of life energy in the present. Well, we found the aloha spirit in Sydney, Australia. What a treasure of a find! This charming 1880 home with interesting architecture is a welcome respite for the traveler and a great home base for exploring Sydney. The...

Tara Guest House is in a trendy suburb of Sydney, which is a short bus ride from the heart of the City and harbour. Julian and Brom welcomed us into their beautiful home which we would describe as a traditional style, large colonial house with a beautiful garden. The large, airy rooms were tastefully furnished and exceptionally comfy beds. The...

I chose the Tara guest house as a final refuge after a four month round-the-world trip before the long flights home. The physical environment is a spacious home that showcases an eclectic array of art, in close proximity to the many shops, restaurants and book stores on King street. What makes this bed and breakfast shine is the warm reception...

If you are heading to Sydney then I would say you have to stay here. Fantastic hosts, great breakfasts and clean and very comfortable rooms. You can go sightseeing all day after a breakfast there. So much on your doorstep in Newtown, great transport links to the city! So glad we stayed here!

I stayed in Tara Guest House for the last 3 days of a 4 month trip around New Zealand and Australia. The Guest House is very stylish and filled with a wonderfully eclectic art collection. Bedrooms are spacious and very comfortable. The breakfasts were simply awesome - generous in both size and the variety of breakfast foods on offer and...

I stayed multiple times in recent months while undertaking study at Sydney University staying in two different rooms across the trips. The beds and linen are excellent; well superior to a hotel. Rooms and bathrooms are spacious, clean and airy. High ceilings and walls tastefully decorated with interesting art. These features alone are enough to make this place. However, what...

I am very late writing this review due to me thinking I had already done it a long time ago. Better late than never! I actually stayed here with a couple of friends during August 2015 while in Sydney for the Netball World Cup. Amazing hospitality and out of this world breakfasts. Julian and Brom are the best hosts and...

I came down to Sydney with teammates for a competition and we decided to stay here after reading all the reviews - best decision we have ever made. Julian and Brom truly made us feel at home from pickup to the end of our stay. The breakfasts were the best I've ever had - locally sourced, hot off the pan,...
