I thoroughly enjoyed every minute of my stay. The Burgundy Room felt like such a retreat, and I loved the sense of history I felt throughout the inn. Amenities I didn't even know I wanted, such as big fluffy bathrobes and chocolates and a fan (for white noise) and a fridge in my room and delicious midnight snacks accessible downstairs,...

I had dinner here as well as breakfast, and both meals were absolutely amazing! They have basically combined a great country inn with a stellar restaurant. It's only a few miles off of I-80, and I stayed here to break up a long road trip. It's well worth it

The Chestnut St Inn is truly a GEM in the country! Monika and Jeff are such kind innkeepers who really know how to do things first class!! The rooms are cozy and well appointed and the meals are terrific. This was our first stay and we will definitely be back; hopefully next time enjoying one of Monika's cooking classes. We...

We stayed at the Chestnut Street Inn for one night in the Green Room. The room was very cute and clean with its own bathroom, a second bedroom with a twin bed, and a TV room with refrigerator. This room is very private. The linens and pillows were soft and comfortable. One of the inn keepers, Monika, offers private cooking...

The Chestnut Street Inn is a wonderful place to stay. The ambiance of the the first floor living room and dining area is lovely. The guest rooms are comfortable and charmingly decorated. The highlight of the inn are the meals. Breakfast is delicious. Dinner was beyond my expectations. You would think you were eating in a 5 star restaurant by...

We visited this lovely B&B with two other couples. Since there were no other overnight bookings that night, we were given our choice of rooms. Each room was lovelier than the next, so no one was disappointed. Our host and hostess were beyond gracious and friendly. Since the proprietress is an acclaimed chef, we had dinner in the gorgeous dining...

My friend and I chose to stay at a B&B the night before the Z Tour bike ride in Princeton, IL. We had never heard of Sheffield, IL which is approximately 15 minutes from Princeton. What a lovely little town and what a fantastic B&B! The Chestnut Street Inn is so charming and warm and homey. Monica and Jeff are...

I can't thank Monika and Jeff enough for the perfect evening my husband and I recently spent at the Chestnut Street Inn. Wow! We are repeat dinner guests--we go at least 2-3 times a year for special occasions. Monika's cuisine is always delicious, adventurous, inspired, and beautifully presented, but at our most recent dinner, she outdid herself! My husband and...

Sometimes you just luck out on making your plans for the weekend. Booking the Chestnut Inn in Sheffield is on my top 10 list of luckiest breaks! My friend and I were signed up to ride the Z-tour ride in Princeton and wanted to get an early start to avoid the Illinois July heat. I am slightly familiar with the...

This has been on my Wife's bucket list for years. We stayed July 11th and 12th leaving the morning of July 13th. The room was amazing. Very spacious, clean, and comfortable. There aren't enough words to describe how off the charts amazing the food really is. Monika and Jeff make you feel at home away from home. They are fun...
