We enjoyed an absolutely delicious post birthday lunch here yesterday. Mouthwatering homemade bread and soup, sublime open sandwiches and other awesome homemade food (not all for me you understand!) The best lunch I have ever had in Sussex, possibly the country! And, no, I am not kidding. You would be mad not to book a table right now.

I received a voucher for Xmas as I love to bake, I was joined by my son. This course was informative, fun and set at level and pace suitable for us all. Les was an excellent tutor, relaxed and patient! The hospitality Les and Alison showed us was so welcoming, the food was delicious and will be returning for lunch...

As a complete novice bread maker this day ticked all the boxes for me. Les was a patient and encouraging tutor; the surroundings were beautiful and sensitively created (I loved the wooden kitchen tops and height of the units); the hospitality was warm; and I left with home made bread feeling that I could 'do this' at home. Thank you!

We had a great half day making our first handmade loaves of bread. Excellent and informative tuition plus a great lunch. A highly recommended treat for anyone, including novices. Course vouchers are available from the website, so this course makes a great gift.

Had a great time today being taught by Les how to make and bake bread. Brought home three loaves of (nearly) all my own work and received praise from my wife - well done Les! Lunch prepared by Louise was excellent, as were the refreshments during the day. They are both excellent hosts and make you feel really welcome. Thank...

I held another brilliant client event here. The 2nd this year and the hosts, the ambience, the food and service were faultless. My clients LOVE this venue and it is almost becoming an annual event we like it that much. Les and Louise have created a gem in West Sussex. Why would you want to go anywhere else ?

We stayed here as a family of 4. (5yr & 2yr old). The master bedroom has an adjoining room with a connecting door. In here are 2 beds which can be adjusted into different sizes or there is an option for a travelcot. The cottage, yes, has low ceilings but it is beautiful. The furnishings are well co-ordinated with greys...

Set in beautiful Sushsex countryside the Artisan Bakehouse is a very special place and very deserving of all the excellent reviews. Lunch today was beautifully prepared and the cakes too tempting. I would heartily recommend a visit but you do need to check if they are open, and if you are lucky and they are you do need to book...
