Nice setting, good welcome. Not busy when we were there but may have been due the the steamer not running. Service was good, freshly prepared sandwiches and nice sausage roll. Reasonably priced. Worth a stop in past 👍🏻

we only called in for tea after our group walk. I would think it would be music free as it is a lovely old worlde hotel. It used to have music in the bar long long ago where they would sing all the hunting songs but I have never heard of it happening now. My friend went on a sunday night for a meal where it is a old fashioned salad and all the staff are in old fashioned costume.
