I wanted to respond to the person who said the Branson House is not wheel chair accessible. There is a ramp on the back side of the house for those who need it, and an elevator inside. Again, A+ in every regard. John and Norma are a delightful couple who have preserved a Petersburg historic landmark. John is a wealth...

This bed & breakfast is absolutely beautiful! My husband and I got Sylvia's room which had its own private bathroom. Very clean and cozy room. The breakfast was wonderful! John and Norma are excellent hosts and can tell you all about the town of Petersburg! The house also has a elevator from the 1950's that they still use for guests!

Once again John and Norma greeted us at the door, put our luggage on the elevator and made us feel right at home. Their Victorian home is beautiful and pristine. They are warm and welcoming but also provide us private time and space. It is so relaxing to go to the Branson House B & B. It is situated on...

Very pretty clean B&B. Hosts were very nice. Good candlelight breakfasts on beautiful antique dishes. Easy to get to. Close to Springfield and Lincoln attractions. Had a small elevator which saved carrying luggage to second floor.

We love Victorian homes and fell in love with the Branson House. Norma and John have a beautiful bed and breakfast and made us feel like family. We stayed in Grandma Ruthie's room which was quite lovely and spacious. There is plenty of coffee and tea and soft drinks and popcorn on hand. Breakfast was delicious and the town of...

We have stayed here many times! Clean rooms, great breakfast, and nice location. The price was right and the owners were friendly. (At least this place wasn't a mortuary before it was a bNb) They supply little snacks for their guest and internet and Wifi.

The Branson House is beautifully restored, if a little cluttered with nick nacks and stuffed animals. We had a large room--Uncle Billy's--with a bathroom down the hall. We loved the robes! But the shutters in our room were more than a little dusty. Breakfast was delicious.

Quaint small town with nice antique store [Country Pickens] and great steakhouse [Douglas Street Grill], both within walking distance of this lovely B&B on a hill overlooking the town. We enjoyed our stay in our spacious, beautifully decorated room [Grandma Ruthie's Room]. The breakfast, made by the owner/wife, was delicious until ruined by the owner/husband spouting his offensive, unsolicited, political...

We stayed at the Branson House prior to visiting Lincoln's New Salem, which is just minutes away. We had a beautiful room, Grandma Ruthie's, which was extremely comfortable and beautifully cool on such a hot day. Although the house is over 130 years old, the bathroom is quite modern. The hosts were extremely gracious; we were given a tour of...

Lovely traditional home with welcoming hosts. Brick walk and steps to front door mean it is not handicapped accessible. Once inside there is a small elevator to transfer luggage or persons to the next floor. Our two rooms each had attached bathrooms. The rooms and beds were very comfortable. Each room had a small sofa with a reading lamp. Cold...
