We spent a lovely two nights in this gem of a B&B. Heather was very welcoming & has a special relaxed approach. Great room with a fantastic view, excellent breakfast in the conservatory (also great view !). Lovely building & location not far from Marlborough.

Have just returned from an overnight stay at Fisherman's House, Mildenhall near Marlborough, Wiltshire. This is a very special "Bed and Breakfast"; one of the prettiest Georgian country houses my wife and I have ever seen, let alone been able to stay in. Heather, our host, made us feel totally at ease and "at home" during our stay. The house,...

We had phoned the night before to confirm the time of our arrival and Heather (Coulter) was waiting for us with a pot of tea at the ready. Heather took us to our room which was en-suite looking out onto the back garden and river Kennet, we were given the run of the house which was full of wonderful quirky...

The garden forms the bank and large brown trout can be seen swaying in the current under the adjacent bridge. The location is idyllic as is the welcome from Heather. First class breakfasts, comfortable room with a river view and our dog made welcome. what more could you ask for?

I've never written a TripAdvisor review before but having recently stayed with Mrs Coulter, Heather, felt I had to share this little gem as it really is the perfect B&B: beautifully decorated rooms, fantastic views and delicious breakfast - Heather really couldn't have done more for us. She also had great tips on what to see and do in Marlborough...

I have the pleasure of staying at Fishermans most Monday evenings. It is a gorgeous old house, backing onto the river, and it is always peacful and quiet. The rooms are tastefully decorated and the house is full of period charm. Heather lets you have the run of the house as if it was yours and her warm and welcoming...

Just got back from our third stay in this delightful B&B. Our cosy room looked over the garden and the Kennet, and breakfast served by our hostess Heather was particularly delicious. We can't wait to come back!

Stunning house on the banks of the River Kennet. Extremely comfortable bedrooms and decorated beautifully. Ducks on the lawn greet you for breakfast. Wonderful views and Heather is a charming hostess. A few miles from the market town of Marlborough, so perfect for Marlborough Summer School, Ridgeway Walks, Avebury and also close to Hungerford with all its Antique Shops. I...

This is a beautiful house in a wonderful setting and the welcome was warm. The bed was incredibly comfortable and I could hardly tear myself away on my house hunting trips. I was looked after beautifully and cannot recommend it more highly.

My boyfriend and I have just come back from one of the most beautiful places I have ever stayed in. Packed with antiques, the rooms are comfortable and furnished in the country house style. On our arrival we were greeted warmly by our charming host, Heather Coulter and offered a hugely welcome G&T! Our ensuite double room was well appointed,...
