We stayed in Paindane and was passing on the Barra road and popped in for a quick beer. Three hours later we had one of the cheapest and best authentic local lunches in Moz. The full coconut chicken was fantastic on it's own but even better with the peri-peri sauce on the side. Be prepared to wait when it is...

Before the revolution in 1975' , my family with me as a baby visited this lodge since 1965. This is ideal family lodge. It has the correct balance between modern and the rustic Mozambique. You have not visited Mozambique if you did not stay over here. Recommend you visit in off season to really enjoy it.

i have traveled Mozambique top to bottom east to west in the past 20 years. i call myself an expert. this is the best family resort. no drunk noisy rude fisherman around. this place is self catering and has a restaurant too. it has all what you will need for a holiday. clean bed. good shower. aircon. well equipped kitchen....

We needed a little get away from all the visitors and stumbled across this resort by accident. We were lucky enough to get a beach facing chalet, but they have a lot of options. It is quite remote so you need to take everything, food and drink wise with you if you are self catering, otherwise there is a lovely...

Coconut Bay has to be one of the most beautiful unspoilt bays in Mozambique but the accommodation need serious attention. There is so much potential in these chalets but they need a face lift. Especially the kitchen and bathrooms.
