We stayed at Montanha for 6 nights. Located just behind the dune from the Barra beach. Self catering accommodation in log cabin with space for about 6 people. The locals visit Montanha each day to sell fresh pao (Portuguese rolls), fruit, vegetables and seafood. Very well priced holiday in South African terms. Owned by a South African couple that stays... Montanha Valley Lodge is a few minutes walk from the beach, which was relaxing and secluded. We were there in the height of the 'high season' (over Christmas and New... More

We went as a group of 4 during September and had a great time. Our hosts were friendly and went the extra mile to accommodate us. The chalets are simple but had all the amenities needed for a a comfortable stay. Highly recommended.

A really non commercial, relaxing place with in an ideal setting: secluded from the breeze of the sea however minutes walk from the beach. Our wooden chalet was was simple but really cosy and big enough to host 6... More
