Bayview Lodge is the perfect place to stay in Barra. Much quieter and more relaxed than some of the nearby lodges with a great attention to detail. In the mornings the security guards bring the fishermen and villagers to your lodge selling fresh crayfish, prawns, calamari, bread and vegetables. Dianne and John are fantastic hosts (loaned us beach towels, recommended...

Bay View was a great place to stay in Barra. Catharina was very helpful with the booking, getting visas, and any other questions I had. The only thing was the terrible palm flies that attack at night but they were kind enough to give me some ointment for the bites. The air con was a little loud but worked nicely...

What a joyful experience. The little touches really made us felt welcomed. The advert mentioned the mosquito nets and for the first time it was true and not only a promise. The high security that you guys ensure was making us feel safe and added to the relaxation of the holiday. My husband even created a new name due to...
