This resort we found many years ago on a motorcycle tour so Southern Laos. Mr Vongsamay the owner and his family are wonderful people and are fantastically hospitable. The restaurant is an amazing setting with some of the best food anywhere. Would recommend to any family and friends as the place to stay in Southern Laos. We stay everytime we...

I found this accommodation well above the lao standards, at a very reasonable price. The resort, I would say family hotel, is run by a brave man, Mr Vongsamay, his clever wife in the kitchen, their charming daughters and some cleaners. At 26 US dollars a day we had a fully equipped vast timber bungalow ensuite, adequate breakfast, and free...

This place is just great! It is ideally located directly at the river and we were lucky to get one of the bungalows with a balcony overlooking the river as well. The rooms are well maintained, have really comfy mattresses and the en suites are good as well. A wonderful place to relax and also a good base for exploring...

My memories of Sainamhai can't be separated from how much I enjoyed the charming company, the lovely landscape, and the memorable monsoons, but I'll try to distill my key impressions: - Air conditioning! Seriously, like hard liquor to an alcoholic. - A balconied restaurant overlooking the swollen river. For dinner—fresh river fish laap with just picked herbs. For breakfast—fat, fluffy...

We stayed in this resort for two nights, having travelled to Ban Nahin to visit the Kong Lor Caves. After a bit of a misunderstanding with the tuk tuk that their website promised to pick us up from the bus station, we finally managed to get the resort, where we were welcomed warmly and shown immediately to our bungalow. Our...

We came to this remote area and stayed in this resort for 2 nights, mainly to visit the nearby Khong Lor Caves. The stay turns out to be very pleasant, the caves rather disappointing. We reserved our stay many months ahead directly with the resort, because it is not available on any booking website. No deposit was requested, the owner...

This is an absolute haven, great location, great food and great people. I was there recently on a motorbike trip in Laos and had a lovely time, found it amongst some not very nice places in the locale. The place has one of those vibes that when you arrive you know your are going to be happy there, and I will...

I stayed at this hotel while on a tour so I can’t comment on the price or value, but it was a good place to stay for a night. I had half of a duplex cabin. It had twin beds and a wardrobe. No TV. Wifi is supposed to be available in the lobby/restaurant area, but was not working while...

We stayed here while doing the loop, a three day motorbike ride through the area. Being that it was my first time riding a motorbike I was pretty apprehensive about the ride and finding Sainamhai at the end of the day could not have been a better highlight. It is about 4k south off the main road, plenty of signs,...

“- Paper-thin walls. On the other hand, the noises of geckos and other creepy crawlies at night create great atmosphere for cuddling. - Having a bungalow next to the river gives you gorgeous views of the river from the balcony.”
