We spent two nights here as part of a trip around Cambodia & Vietnam and felt that was the perfect amount of time. The organised trips were good and they offered walking alteratives for those who prefer not to ride bikes. The pool area is also lovely. The food was OK, but not qui

This was one of 5 places we stayed at whilst traveling around Vietnam and sadly I feel it missed the mark.

We felt like you either go with the predetermined program or nothing. We arrived at 4pm and were told that there was no time to do anything that afternoon/night so we chos

My wife and I were mevery disappointed with Mekong Lodge for a number of reasons that I will try to summarise as much as possible.

1. Very noisy room next to the delta itself. You will woken up at the crack of dawn by the barges. The rooms themselves are very bare.

2. You are e

After almost 10 days doing cities, it was fabulous to get to the Mekong Lodge. We got there earlier than planned and were taken by boat. Had a couple of hours to go to the pool which is lovely before lunch. Then we had a guide to take us by bicycle on a tour. Khoa (our guide) wa

I guess we had a rather bad experience. Although the rooms and the surrounding were quite nice we weren’t happy about the the food and when we took the bicycle tour out guide did not explain a single thing. It felt like he wanted the tour to be over soon so just dragged us along

Do they provide toiletries or should we bring shampoo and shower gel?
As the others advised, bring your own.

Are you able to help us organise a tour of Mekong delta with a stay at the Mekong lodge? We would like to travel from hcmc and have two days in the Mekong delta and one night at the lodge. How do we organise this please?
When we were in Ho Chi Minh we booked our tour directly with the Mekong lodge resort

How we get to the property from Ho Chi Minh ? Time and distance pls ?
Hi Sorry for late reply, this time of year don't get time on the computer very much. We found the lodge it self to be the best and cheapest to organise trnsport for you. We were a party of 4 and they charged us $80US each way for the car. Most other companians charged a per person rate and came to over $200US.

I am flying into Ho Chi Minh late night on the 20th July. I'm looking to explore the Mekong river and do an overnight stay for the next morning. If I booked into a hotel for the 20th in Ho Chi Minh what plans could I make with yourselves about going on a day tour and staying in the lodge on the 21st?
Mekong Lodge are very helpful and well-organized and will answer your email quickly.

What does the weather tend to be like at the end of June? If it is very wet does it spoil the experience of staying here and the activities on offer?
Don't know about June - since we were there on October, but it was rainy during our stay. For the bike ride we had a very light drizzle which did not affect the experience. Once we finished the bike ride in the afternoon, dark clouds were approaching - so our guide decided to head back to the lodge and postpone the rowing boat for the next morning, which worked out great. The pool is heated and the weather is hot even when there's rain - so lounging in the pool in the rain is a great option ;)

"rooms away from the river front are quieter"
"Get the Riverside rooms (with a great setting) but expect a little more noise from the boats"
"Away from nearby houses (noise level)"
"River can be loud, up by welcoming restaurant has roosters..for quiet, maybe stay in the middle somewhere?"
"it was good to hear the river boats on the river..it added to the experience"
