Hotel's Favourite
Stayed for a night for five people. The suite was appropriate size and had two queen beds and a sofa bed. The mattress for sofa bed was very thin but even then had adequate sleep. We had to checkout early due to an emergency. The staff were very accommodating and courteous. Check-in and check-out were very efficient and smooth. It’s very close to Drury Lane event centre. Parking is very very convenient.

My husband and I came into town for an event and our anniversary. We booked this location due to proximity to our event. The hotel was spacious and clean though cosmetically dated in the rooms and hallways. Even though the carpets and furniture and color scheme could use some updating, everything was clean and tidy. We did have some issues with the air conditioning however Layla at the front desk took action to assure we were comfortable.

Front desk clerk was horrible - barely acknowledged us. Rude, unfriendly, uninformative, and much more. Needs to be fired. I asked for a handicapped room and did not get one. I could barely navigate without. First room was dirty right down to the soiled, stained, torn up sheets and comforters. Second room was better and after complaints the manager addressed our issues. Not likely to stay there again. Needs a complete renovation to be called a Hilton hotel. The lobby is Hilton, the price is Hilton, the rooms are more like Motel 6 - old furniture and carpet, dated and dirty. Housekeeping did not do a complete cleaning or change sheets the entire 5 night stay. Yuck. Not again.

It’s a nice enough hotel. The rooms are dated, but clean and comfortable. They’re still using magnetic strip keys (no digital key), the state-of-the-art 1992 system.
The breakfast was priced at $20, and was not their strongest offering. The eggs were dry, the french toast was hard. The service was friendly and efficient.
The suites are very roomy, and could easily fit a family of four.

I booked a 2 queen/1 bedroom suite here for 3 days. Arrived about 7:30 pm only to be told that my room was not ready due to a "diamond member checking out late". Was told that it was being cleaned and I could wait in the bar and was given two vouchers for free beer. It took about an hour for the room to be ready and I finally was given the keys to the room. Upon entering the room, I found that I was given a 1 king room and not the 2 queen that I reserved. Since it was a suite, I wasn't too worried as there was the advertised sofa sleeper in the living room. But, when the sleeper was opened . . . no linens, blankets or pillows. In the bedroom closet was one pillow and a very thin blanket which I assumed was for the bed, not the sofa. Because it was late, I assumed it would be better to just deal with this the next day. The next day, as I was leaving I stopped at the front desk and spoke with the woman on duty. I asked her if the sofa bed in my suite could be made up for sleeping and if I could get some extra towels. She said "absoulutely" and picked up her cell phone and started texting. When she was done, she said that she had delivered the request to her housekeeper via text and it would be done. I left the hotel and didn't return until 10 pm. When I got to my room, the sofa bed was not touched and there were no towels. I phoned the front desk and was told that "housekeeping is contracted out an no one can enter a guest room without arrangements being made at least 24 hrs in advance." I then asked why the afternoon clerk told me it would be done and the response was "well, I have no way of knowing who you spoke with". No offer of any further action and no apology. This is not what I would call expected Hilton service. The hotel itself was very nice, my room was clean and everything was as expected except that I do not think you should advertise a sofa bed if it is not made up and ready to be used. But if you are going to require a 24+ hour notice for this, it should be clearly stated on your website. I had also read online that this hotel was charging $6 per night for parking, though parking was never mentioned at check in and cars were not ticketed or towed that parked overnight.

if this hotel does not change the hotel's administrative and operational staff. The hotel is going to go to the bottom, if not it is already at the bottom. The very kind manager on duty gave us what we needed to compensate for everything bad about the hotel. but he can't do it alone. At 10 am we already had to be outside the room for the lady to clean, otherwise he would put a letter under the door saying that they would clean your room tomorrow. deplorable breakfast. the rooms completely neglected and old. Very strange to find a Hilton hotel with these characteristics.

This is one of the most disgusting Hilton properties I’ve stayed at in over 20 years being a Hilton honors member. The hotel needs to be updated with safety lights in the stairwells along with removing mold and mildew in the bathrooms along with fixing leaking air conditioning units that drip down the wall within the room onto the carpet. In addition they, do not have a back up plan if they experience a power outage. Management will not return your calls and may offer 10,000 pts for compensation in an apologetic email which is an insult to $$$ of lost food items and medications needing refrigeration. I believe this is a franchise site and not a true Hilton owned property. Stay clear of this hotel. Sleeping in your vehicle would be a better option.

Rooms are outdated. I’m a HH member, stayed in the corner room 992. Last night of our stay we discovered bugs underneath the bar tray area at 11pm. Bugs scrambled behind the microwave and refrigerator. No open exposed food, snacks or beverages in the room. The front desk could not locate any bug spray or offered to relocate the family into a different room. I also captured videos to show the front desk staff. We kept the lights on all night until the morning. Thought the manager or front desk would call in the morning to resolve the issue, but silence until I walked to the front desk to request the manager on duty. She replied that service will take a look after we check out. Unbelievable response to a customer staying for a few days for a family reunion hosted in the hotel. I’ve changed my reservations for the rest of the year to hotel chains unrelated to Hilton.

After trying several area hotels near the Elmhurst Memorial Hospital where I have been working this summer, this one has become my first choice. It is extremely easy to get to, under ten minutes to the hospital, a short distance to the Oak Brook Shopping Center, and immediately adjacent to the Drury Lane Theater. I never heard of the theater before, but it appears to be a very popular destination and frequented by people who drive there with expensive cars. The theater is sandwiched between the Hilton Suites and the Hilton Garden Inn. The rooms are much larger at the Oak Brook Suites and the facility is more elegant than the Garden Inn, but both are good values.
During my first stay I was "upgraded" to one of the conference suites, which offers a huge amount of space that I frankly did not need. The staff at the hotel are extremely pleasant and helpful. The hotel website says that breakfast, lunch and dinner are served in the restaurant, but there is no lunch or dinner served. The breakfast is good but it is not free.
The appearance of the rooms suggests that this is an older hotel. The rooms seem dark and the room seems very dated. But it is clean and quiet. During my stays I had a plugged drain, two TV's that did not work, and a room safe that the previous resident had left locked. The hotel staff addressed this issues very promptly, and these were the only problems over a five week period. The "digital key" that allows you to go straight to your room if you check in first is nice when it works. But about half the time it didn't work, so be sure to go to the desk and get key cards.

Unfortunately, we do not have an executive lounge at Hilton Chicago/Oak Brook Suites
Yes. You may be able to take the hotel shuttle to the train station.
Those of us who frequently use Trip Advisor now know you meant 5 stars, so I don’t see if there is anymore you can do.
