Since we have discovered Bishops Hall Bed & Breakfast we do not stay anywhere else when we are visiting Chicagoland. #1 Oak Park is the kind of city we like. It is somewhat like stepping back in time to a time when cities were neat, clean and organized. #2 And staying at Bishops Hall makes it perfect for us. This...

Probably the best b&b we have ever stayed in. Everything is absolutely perfect. A gorgeous place of beauty and luxury. The furnishings, the rooms are of the best taste. Something between a museum and a palace. Or both ? Charles, the owner, is helpful and attentive to every detail. Of course, the breakfast is somptuous. Excellent situation if you want...

We stayed twice at Bishops Hall in the last 6 months and were not disappointed on either stay. Charles is an excellent host, making us feel at home in so many ways. Each room in the mansion is curated with elegant antiques and yet very welcoming and comfortable--something we have only experienced in one other place--Inverlochy Castle in Fort William...

We had a great weekend at Bishops Hall. The decor is throughout is absolutely beautiful. It's in a great location for taking a walking tour of Oak Park. It's just far enough from the shops to provide you some time to explore the area's wonderful architecture without seeming like a trek. Chuck is the best. Checking in and out was...

It was amazing, The room was beautiful, the breakfasts were to die for. The Host, Chuck, made it" Over the Top." He gave us a priceless tour of Chicago and got us in places. He treated us like family.

BIshop's Hall is spacious, with a small library, living room, music room, breakfast room etc. Our bedroom suite , the blue & coral room was enormous, including the bed sitting room large bath & shower room, commode room and dressing room. A gas fireplace with two cozy chairs added a nice touch. The four poster bed was high and firm,...

We stayed here on the first 2 days before we set off to do Route 66. What an absolute treat. Chuck runs it and he is so friendly and helpful you couldn't ask for more. Ever detail was exemplary. He even drove us into Chicago. The house is exquisite and the location quiet but gorgeous. This really kicked our holiday...

As I am usually the designated accomodations manager when traveling in our relationship I was a little skeptical when my wife announced that she had booked a bed and breakfast for our anniversary weekend because it was about six blocks from our daughters home and I figured that this was the reason we were staying there not a celebration of...

I thought a while and I can't find anything to fault in this exquisite B&B. By far the best one we have ever been to. Chuck was the perfect host, and unfortunately Sam was just coming in as we were leaving. It reminds me of a classic English Manor. The furnishings and design are in the best of taste. Just...

It has taken me some time to write this review, but the two men that own this home make it a very comfortable place to stay. Yes, I like my king size bed, and we had a nice room with a queen size bed, but the bed and the room were very comfortable. It felt more like you were visiting...
