I don’t think the hotel lives up to its image of being a stand-out hotel. For example: the wifi is terrible and keeps falling out, the M Club Lounge door has a sign saying “if your key card doesn’t work, keep trying”. I kept on trying and it didn’t work … how long do you keep wasting your time doing so? They might as well have put a sign up saying “we don’t care enough to get this fixed”.

The rooms are fine but don’t expect the nicer touches you get in other Marriotts (eg no tumbler in the bathroom, which is small; no separate bin for recycling). You can’t walk down the stairs all the way to the ground floor without setting off an alarm, so you have to take the lift for the last level.

The fridge, I suspect, has also been the subject of complaints as it has a sign on it saying “Temporary Cold Storage, Not Recommended for perishable items”. What am I going to put in it, my socks?

Car park was large and fine. Breakfast was the usual fare and was served by pleasant staff. End room was quiet, although those who get disturbed will want to be away from the lift.

It just feels like a place that needs a bit of money spent behind the facade, and a bit of an attitude change instilled from management.

Justin did an excellent job checking me in as a Titanium member! His level of kindness was genuine and not overly nice and fake. I appreciate checking in being a smooth process. The TV in the room was blinking red/not working and the battery in the safe wasn't working. He had those issues resolved immediately. I was very disappointed with the wait staff during breakfast. They never offered me water or coffee. The wait staff was horrible!. The lady who cooks the omelettes was extremely nice and was nice enough to get me water, even though that wasn't her job.

Spent three nights here for a conference. I arrived at midnight and was “greeted” by a monotone front desk who also gave me the wrong location for the next day conference. The room was clean and bed was comfortable but you can see the age of this hotel. The restaurant serves food that’s more expensive than it’s worth with slow service. French onion soup was super salty and so was the salad. I wish there are more options with food without leaving the hotel in this cold weather

Terrible noisy room. Newly refurbished. No light. Poor shower. Unpleasant staff. I hardly slept. They build a room by the freeway without decent sound proof windows. On top of that the AC/ Heater goes on and off all night and rumbles with the noise of a truck engine by your bed side. There is no light such that you can’t read a book. The shower starts by splurting brown water and then it is such a thin trickle you need to stay there for quite a long time. Forget about washing your hair. The gym is poorly furnished and two of the pieces of equipment don’t work. Staff is unpleasant and incompetent. Absolutely horrible place.

Horrible place, you can have a better experience at Motel 8. It’s very dated and you can smell molding from the old carpet. It seems like the facility hasn’t updated since the 90’s. My shower head has gross slimy mold, and when I asked to switch room, they simply told me the hotel was sold out. So instead of staying 4 night, I checked out early to switch to a different hotel. As I checked out, another gentleman walked to the front desk complained about black water coming from the skink faucet … this is the worst Marriott I have ever been to ever.

Well, this Christmas didn’t exactly come off as planned. The Southwest meltdown affected our ability to leave Chicago for the Northeast. That is where the fine staff in Oak Brook at the Marriott stepped in. Seema and Angelica were wonderful. They made sure our stay was great by providing a feather-free room, assisting with our constantly changing reservation needs, and genuinely being positive in the midst of all the craziness for us travelers. Shout out also to Brian in housekeeping and the M Lounge staff! This is a fine hotel and Seema and Angelica can offer helpful suggestions on dining in the area. Thank you again!

We arrived around 10pm and were assigned a room on the 12th floor - excited as the view should have been very nice. The bed had been slept in and the bathroom had been used. Looked like an employee took a nap. We were then moved to a room on the 2nd floor with a view of a flat asphalt roof and given a whopping 2500 point credit to our Bonvoy account. This equates to roughly $5 over a 3 night stay for a Bonvoy Elite member.

The hotel needs some TLC beyond the lobby. Rooms do not have a USB outlet, A/C is loud and bath fixtures are worn. Pool is permanently closed. Elevators are agonizingly slow.

Pluses are that parking is free, there is a Starbucks on site and the lobby has been remodeled.

I wouldn’t recommend anyone stay here, ever. I do 150 nights a year at Marriott properties and this place is old, outdated, disgustingly filthy rooms. Carpets/chairs/sofas in rooms must be 10+ years old. They renovated the lobby to fool you, but the rooms are probably 20 years old. This place should be condemned.

Booked this hotel for a staycation in celebration of my daughters bday. The pool looked nice on the photos. I asked if the pool would be available before I completed my reservation. I was told this amenity would be available to us. Upon checking on my reservation, I noticed an alert that the pool may bot be available. I then phoned Marriott customer service. Waited 25 minutes to speak to someone. The woman on the phone was not polite, not informative and gave a me a feeling of the type of customer service I'd expect from a 1 star motel off of a highway.

Calling the front desk of the hotel wasn't much better. I was told the pool fills up quickly and there is no guarantee that the pool wouldn't be full of guests that bring more people allowed in, and, no wrist bands to assure paying guests are able to enjoy the amenities we are paying for. They called me late the next night stating "I could use the pool if I gave them a specific time."

What kind of vacation is this? I no longer had any interest of spending my money and time in this sort of establishment. Cancelled!

We made a reservation in November for a June stay with credit card on file. Three months later in February I received an email stating that my reservation had been cancelled. No explanation. I spoke to hotel, supervisor, etc. They were unwilling to reinstate my reservation at the price I had reserved. Now I have no hotel reservation and prices have since doubled. Very unprofessional.
