Our two-night stay in Deluxe Cabin 1 was wonderful - fantastic birdlife and 180-degree view through river red gums to the lake from both the balcony and inside. The compact 2BR cabin had everything we needed. The whole park is well maintained with an excellent camp kitchen. The attached outdoor seating area in the sun over the lake and the large fire pit are nice extras. The couple managing the park for 2 months were welcoming and friendly. Urana itself is a small town with heaps of civic pride as shown by the excellent historical installations around town and the public facilities around the lake. Well worth a visit, far from the madding crowd. One slight downside was the fairly steady flow of grain trucks along the Federation Highway (aka The Grain Route).

Fantastically clean and tidy caravan park next to Urana Dam, with a walking / cycle track into town or around the golf course along the lake nature trail. Bird aviary nearby with a wide variety of birds - Major Mitchell Cockatoos, various pigeons, budgerigars and several types of local Parrots. Amenities have sunscreen, toiletries, tissues and even bath mats for the guests. Cute camp kitchen too. The managers are so sweet and helpful. What a find with beautiful sunsets over the water an extra bonus!

Found this little gem travelling home from Qld. We always prefer to stay in country parks such as this, and rarely are disappointed, such is the case with this park.Offered a lot more than a lot of the bigger parks. We will return when in the area again. Keep up the great work.

My son and I shared a villa for two nights. Friendly welcome. Impeccably clean. Well appointed - gas stove, fridge, microwave, TV, great shower, air conditioning etc. Vastly exceeded our expectations.

What a fantastic caravan park, beautiful clean amenities with high shower heads and welcone hot water. One washing machine with free dryer. Great for our two dogs as park next door. Scones jam and cream for morning tea. Such a shame the lake has no water because of the drought. We will definitely stay again if coming this way.

For just $20 on an unpowered site the value was extraordinary. A friendly professional greeting and directions to our site. Not a map but real directions. A hour later scones, jam and cream delivered to our site. Wow. The showers had shower mats so you can stand on them while getting dressed.not time limit on time in the shower. Then this morning our host came and cleaned the car front window. If you are passing through then stop there , you wont do better. If you can it's worth making a detour to see for yourself. This young couple deserve to do well.

Soon after we settled into our cabin the hosts brought us some lovely scones, jam and cream; a fabulous gesture. a sstandardtype of caravan park cabin but with a comfortable couch My review ratings try to be consistent and usually only allocate a 5 in the circumstances described below.. Any that I give a 3 rating are good and am happy to stay there again. Accommodation that is comfortable with good quality furniture and fittings that are similar to home environment are more likely to get high ratings. These usually have a separate lounge with comfortable seating, a well-equipped kitchen, a dining area and a bedroom that is not cramped. Free Wi-Fi is also desirable.
