This was the lowest price in Mt. Vernon and the quality was what I expected. There was coffee in the room and the bed was comfortable. the place was clean enough, but kinda dated. There was a good TV selection and WiFi too. No breakfast though.

This is obviously an older hotel that the management has updated. The hotel is located in a run-down area of town - well off the interstate - make sure you have a good map or directions to reach it. We arrived late, and in spite of the fact that they hadn't received notification from Orbitz, the manager came out [when called by the desk clerk] and was very friendly and helpful. The hallway to our room was locked at both entrances [easy to get out of] - and a key to get in was given to us along with our room key. It smelled smokey along the corridor, but our room was smoke free. It was small [a queen, no-smoking] - but adequate for our needs. We had cleaning service one out of two nights; but to be honest, we didn't really care much, and didn't complain. The room did have a working microwave and small fridge. The free wireless access wasn't blindingly fast, but it was certainly adequate and was essential in the research I was doing. My only real complaint was the lack of available electrical outlets, but that was probably due to the age of the facility. A woman or older person traveling alone might be intimidated by the surroundings, but it's certainly good value for the money. We'd stay again.

This is an older motel just south of downtown. We needed to stay cheap. The room was small and clean. It came with microwave, fridge, coffee maker and hair dryer. New light fixtures. I have stayed in major economy chain properties that were much poorer condition and paid a lot more.

You never know for sure when you choose a less expensive family-owned hotel. But this is a great choice. Clean and fresh, basic with all you need for a night’s sleep. Yes it is on the other side of town from I-34 but will save you upwards of a hundred dollars! you can use towards breakfast somewhere else. The Mexican restaurant right across the street is worth lunch of dinner, too, a half block off the main road.

The rooms were very clean. The bathrooms were very clean. The owners were the very best!! They were constantly asking us if everything was ok, if we needed anything and told us if there was anything we needed just ask. My mother-in-law is a smoker, so when she would go out to smoke they were there with her keeping her company (they are not smokers). They were very friendly and very helpful!! I would HIGHLY recommend staying here!!!

I used a discount site to book this room and got one on the first floor. When I went to my room I noticed that it had been recently renovated and it wasn't dated. everything in the room worked well and the shower was great and the bed was comfortable.

Perfectly adequate accommodations, quiet night. Quick, friendly, efficient check-in with recommendations for dinner. Nothing ritzy, but no problems. Delightful tiled shower cubicle, plenty of hot water at good pressure. Everything we needed, no hassles.

The part of town this is in is a bit Ron down and the hotel is too. With that said, the room was clean and well stocked with soap, shampoo and coffee. We took advantage of all three!
The bed was very comfortable and the air conditioning and tv worked great. We slept vey well.
Vinny checked up in and was very courteous.
An excellent Mexican restaurant right across the street was an added bonus!

Stayed here thinking we weren't in need of anything fancy and all we really wanted was a clean bed, a clean shower, and a good nights sleep to make the 13 hour drive to Denver from there. For $50 we got non of those things. The room was dirty, stains on the carpet, dirty curtains, and a strange smell throughout the hallway and in our room. The neighborhood was also questionable at best. We ended up bringing our mountain bikes into the room because we were scared to leave them in the car.
The shower was a standup shower only, which is not a problem, however, the tile was dirty and grimy. You can tell they didn't replace the consumable shampoo bottles because the two little bottles in our room had different amounts of shampoo in them. The towels were more like sandpaper than a towel. The hair drier was dirty my girlfriend opted to not touch it.
The other guests of the hotel seem to be more long term guests and were extremely loud in the hallways until about midnight. Then, around 4am we started hearing the train whistles blow about every 10-15 minutes which meant any hope for sleep was between midnight and 4am.
To make things worse, I left a review on google complaining about the dirty smelly carpet to which the owner replied that they had hardwood floors in all of their rooms. So the owner not only runs a dirty hotel, but will tell blatant lies when confronted about their dirty rooms.

My husband and I are on a road trip and needed a bed to sleep in and didn't want to pay much. This place was pretty cheap so that was nice. We also didn't see any bugs except the dead flies in the cobwebs on the window sill. Overall, it was pretty gross. I kept my shoes on until I got it bed to sleep. The comforter and blanket seemed dirty so we didn't touch them and just trusted that the sheet was clean. After staying here, I would not do it again. I would not bring kids here or even my dog. There was a long black hair on my *clean* bath towel that was not my own. There was no shelf in the stand up shower so I hung my washcloth over my shoulder when I wasn't using it. I had to step out of the shower and set the bar of soap down when I was done with it.
We've stayed at a lot of lesser expensive hotels while traveling but this was the grossest.
