Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The caravan was good but we were the only ones there. Booked for 3 nights but left after 2. Did a couple of day trips but the towns were like ghost towns. Had to really hunt around just to find a coffee. Pubs & shops were closed. Would leave your trip until much later into the summer. Looks like there would be much more activity then. The Dhilba Guuranda Innes National Park was great though and very much worth a visit. Great coastal scenery & lots of emus.

This is a fantastic caravan park if you want to holiday with your family and friends. This location is especially ideal if you are into surfing. The local surf beach is a five minute drive away and it is just spectacular. The facilities are excellent, one of the best camp kitchens I have ever used, and clean toilet and shower facilities. The managers are very friendly and always helpful. The sites can struggle for grass coverage in summer so make sure you bring a good ground mat. It is also a great location to use as your base to explore the beautiful lower Yorke peninsula. The caravan park has a shop with some supplies and there is also a general store in the town that does takeaway food and alcohol. Across the road there is a large oval area and a tennis court which is free to use.
If the kids are keen to learn to surf (or the adults) Book in some lessons with Neptunes surf school in the town. Max, Janelle and the crew really know what they are talking about and are very passionate about teaching people to surf. There is also a beach in the town which is about a five minute walk from the caravan park. This is a lovely beach for walking on and for letting the little ones have a paddle as it is very tidal and there is not a lot of depth.
We have just checked out and made sure that we rebooked on our way out.

Booked to stay and had to change our plans. Booking website not very good. Couldn’t book online and their terms and conditions obscure. Had to email or call them to book. Took deposit but didn’t get a receipt so no idea what I paid. Then they only refund 21 days notice or more. Bit rough but maybe they need all the money they can get. Park is about 2klms from town.

Visited this beautiful part of South Australia with a group of friends just wanting to get away. When we arrived we were greeted by quite a negative manager there and things did not improve much from there. It felt like we were imposing on her by spending our holiday at their caravan park. The camp kitchen is well set up but all other amenities are very basic. There is virtually no internet access and phone coverage. Bore water is used for showers and you must bring your own drinking water. So you don’t really feel that clean after having a shower. The 10pm curfew is overly and strictly enforced. Even talking amongst your friends is a no-no and you will be told by the unfriendly manager to stop. The area itself is beautiful and worth a visit. But I cannot recommend this caravan park as a friendly place to set up. However they have a monopoly on where to stay there. I recommend visit the area but stay at the caravan park on the other side of the peninsula which is a 45 minute drive away.

Beautiful caravan park. We got a generous unpowered site. The grass is lovely, especially after camping on dirt all week haha. There is a bike pump track across the road which was great for our active toddler! As well as the playground. Nice kitchen. Bathrooms clean and well maintained. Highly recommend!
