The Extended StayAmerica in Hillside (near Chicago) is a great option for a short OR long stay. While I stayed only two nights, I really enjoyed having the full-size refrigerator, microwave oven, and sink. (There's also a handy stove, which I did not use.) I made meals and coffee in my room, so it didn't feel as much like a hotel. With CNN, Showtime, and a few other cable channels, I was "in touch." And the room was spacious and clean. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the grounds are well-groomed, too. It looks like someone cares! I was within close proximity of malls, a post office, a golf course, and restaurants. Just a note: If you go, bring your own coffee filters and dish soap. (Pans, tableware, and utensils are in the room.) Good option for the value-conscious!

Our experience here was brief, but it was clean, quiet and relaxing. Just what we needed after a day of driving. After reading reviews we didn't expect much so we asked to see the room before paying. It was actually really nice and in great condition.
You get all the basic amenities, cable, toiletries etc. and then a sink a full fridge and ample counter and storage space. I really like Extended Stay and would recommend it to others.
It's a very quiet area, and if you like to run if you cut through the field behind the hotel you are in a very nice suburban neighbourhood. Great location if you need a break before entering the city.

I stayed at this location for 3 months, I found it to be fairly well maintained as well overall very clean. Most of the staff was very friendly and accommodating. It close to stores, fast food and restaurants. Parts of the surrounding neighborhoods are a little sketchy. but overall not a bad place to stay. A little far if you're working in Chicago, due to traffic. I would recommend it.

Was booked on Booking.com. In the contract it clearly states breakfast is included at that price. We would told the don't do that anymore, “its a corporate thing”. Room did not have any soap or utensils. Shower had mold growing on the tub and fixtures falling off the wall. Booking.com said hotel should be refunding me because I was not offered what was in the contract. NEVER STAY HERE!

I stayed at this property several times. The first time I had drain flies in my room. I know from personal experience they are very hard to get rid of since they live inside the sink drain, but they sent someone to my room with ant spray. I also had problems with the electric outlet by the sink sparking. They sent someone and fixed it immediately. During my second stay, I plugged in their coffee maker and blew the electric breaker in my room, and they had to move me to another room when they couldn't get the power back on.
I'd say its a nice property but I think they need an electrician to check out the rooms. The location is very convenient and the staff is very pleasant and helpful.

Look elsewhere. Many maintenance issues (sticky floors stained carpet and walls), dirty door near door handle, shower pull for on broken, AC was very loud. Look elsewhere. The ratings online are incorrect and do not reflect the many, many issues.

Do not stay at this hotel. halls smell disgusting. Customer service was terrible & the restrooms were falling apart! Pay a few more extra dollars and stay at a nicer hotel. I dont give reviews, but i figured this might sway someone away from this place.

Everyone makes me feel like family and with respect. I give them back what they give me. No issues with the employees. Friendly, I think of them as part of my family. So glad I choose the hillside location for my in Between housing.

I got this room off priceline...was pretty shocked much shocked at the price they gave me...it was a great deal...after reading reviews on here my expectations were not to high, but to my surprise the lady that checked me in was nice and they called my room to make sure everything was good in my room. It was...didn't realize it was a smoking hotel...walking down the hall to my room I'm pretty sure I got a buzz from what was being smoked...but no kids with so it wasn't an issue. Room was clean and didn't smell like smoke.

My family and I had two rooms on the second floor.We were here while mold and water damage was being dealt with and repaired in my home. Our puppy was with us as this hotel is Pet friendly and accepts pets. All pets and our were well behaved and clean.There is a deposit for pets. This stay was paid for by my home owners insurance.
Being a legally blind person I had several questions before we checked in. All the front desk people were easy to reach by phone and were always eager and able to answer any of my or family members questions. Check in was quick and easy. At three pm. Check out begins at eleven Am. A credit card number must be given at check in for any incidentals, etc. Many in room phone calls are free.There is a nominal charge for out of area calls. One of the nice ladies at the desk gave me a copy of all free number pre fixes when I requested it. All the staff from the ladies at the front desk, maintenance, house keeping etc are more than happy to help guests ifyou want and need it. A list of kitchen items is shown to guests I E skillets, sauce pans silver ware toaster, etc) Guests my request desired kitchen items when checking in.Guest laundry is available, Two dolllars to wash and dry. Nominal charge for detergent, softener, bleach in machines in the laundry room. A soda and snack machine is also in the laundry room ( Laundry room has heat ventilation and ac) Copy and fax, printing service is available at the front desk.. Professional, cheerful front desk ladies available from 7 am to 11 30 pm. Off duty local Pd provide fine over night security.There is a phone in the lobby for late check ins along with a key reader to use your room key to enter the building after hours. I am not a late night person so I never had to use these features.Mail and packages may be received and sent at the front desk FED EX, UPS and other service providers are at the hotel Almost every day.Grocery delivery services were at hotel daily. Also helpful, informative brochures are in the first floor laundry room.
There are about 150 rooms on three floors of this very nice hotel. This hotel I understand was remodeled recently. There is s nice modern elevator. Stair ways and exits are well marked . Lighting inside and out is excellent. Ample parking. Lots of those helpful luggage carts.There is a church and small lake near the hotel. Nice town and area. A real family feel to the area. Homes near the hotel.Two express ways are yards from the Extended Stay America- Chicago Hill side. Several major roads also. Public transportation routes surround the hotel.Beautiful building! It looks almost like a mansion.Two toned exterior with baige trim. Some slanted roof lines.Landscaping is lovely. Maintenance is great here. The gentleman Stevon is ON it when it comes to maintenance. We had a little problem with hot water and a minor faucet leak. The problems were quickly repaired.Security is great here also.There was a smoke in some ones kitchen here. The staff did a great jib calmly evacuating every one ALL alarms, smoke fire, etc work very well .ALL pro courteous police and fire department in Hill side.Every thing you want or nead is in the area. May restaurants deliver to the hotel also. No room service is available, how ever a free daily from 7 am to 10 am is a grab and go breakfast. Coffee , tea, packets of oat meal, granola bars, fruit FRESH fruit ,cocoa, muffins and more.Halls are wide with wall lighting. Hotel and rooms are clean. Fire, heat smoke alarms and sprinlklers are at this hotel and in all guest rooms. Rooms are spacious. Some are huge!

One large and one small burner. It works very well. Every thing does.Three upper cabinets, a sink and little island area.Room door has two locks. Emergency info and hotel on the back of the room entry door.Laminate floor in bath ktchen entry area. Carpet in rest of the room. Two Very nice full size beds.Covered mattress and box spring. Quilts nice sheets. Confortable foam and feather WELL CoVERED pillows with pillow casing.Shaded wall lights Three of them.Room is baige Textured paint. Dark green wall near bed. Padded oak head boards. A night stand 3 switched wall lamps. A desk phone with voice mail. Rings fast like phones on british tv programs. I like that.pictures in bed room area and bath room. Plenty of outlets. A circuit breaker pannel in every room. Walls , ceiling, tub and tub area are textured. This place is well built. Thick interior and exterior walls. Very well insulated.Drapes that match the carpet. Double insulated windows with screens. A chest of drawers. A hung wall mirror over dresser. A closet with curtain , coated wire shelving and a light out side the closet. Good size closet.a 27 inch flat screen hdtv on the dresser. A quiet heat/cool, fan unit under the window. A very nice room and hotel. I would highly recommend Extended Stay America=Chicago- Hill side.
