Stayed here to catch a next day flight. This HIE has a small gym, an indoor pool, and a continental breakfast; in which All are just ok. The gym is small, the breakfast lacks variety, and the pool wasn’t very appealing.
The room was clean, and of decent size. The bathroom was small, with terrible lighting, but did have excellent shower pressure. Overall though, the entire motel could use a major renovation in my opinion. I’d have honestly given it a 3 but the staff here is super friendly and helpful. So, they get a 4….
But honestly, I’m thinking I may stay at their competitor across town on my next trip due to it being much newer.

We stayed here on New Years Eve and had a pleasant experience. The heat worked well in the room, the room was clean, and the bed was very comfortable. Best of all, considering it was New Years Eve, we didn't hear a lot of partying going on, or any noise at all from outside our room. The breakfast was good, with a pancake maker, yogurts, omelettes, bagels and bread, hot cinnamon rolls, cereals, and more. The breakfast area was spacious. The hotel is located in a shopping mall with several restaurants, so that was nice, although it detracts a bit from the atmosphere. The hotel is very close to the intersection of highways 290 and 294, major highways in Chicago, and it's about a 15-minute drive from O'Hare.

The room was clean and the linen was quite nice. Our A/C and television did not work. A/C only worked on and off and TV not at all. Called desk for over an hour with no answer. Went down and reported issues and was told maintenance man would come up. that was at 5:30. Went down again 1 hour later was told the same thing. Went down at 8 and was told the same thing. Finally at 11, I was told that I could move to another room, but it would't be a suite. NOT Happy!! Then requested a late check out until 12 and was told I would have to come down in the morning and request same. Desk personnel were not helpful nor courteous. WON'T STAY HERE AGAIN!!

The worst hotel experience in 30+ years of traveling. This place is a dump.
The first room was so bad that I went to the desk soon after checking in to change rooms. The room had stains on almost every piece of furniture and most of the carpet, distressed furniture, torn-up lampshades, and stained and wrinkled sheets. We also found an old tissue under the sheets on one of the beds. Someone replaced the hand soap in the bathroom with lotion instead of more soap. I have photos of everything.
The second room was not much better. We should have left right away. Checked into a different hotel for the remainder of our trip. Stayed one night in this hell hole and will never stay at this hotel again. It should be shut down. Completely unacceptable to operate a facility in that condition. On top of this, my credit card was changed twice. I have contacted the hotel three times since checking out. I sent an email to the general manager, Rick Johnson, that is bouncing back. I also sent an email to IHG member services. I also left Rick Johnson a voicemail. I am requesting a full refund.

At 11pm I was stuck at O'Hare due to canceled flights and this was the closest trustworthy (I thought) chain hotel with availability.
The front desk clerk was well dressed, welcoming and courteous so I felt good about my choice.
Then I got to my room. The door lock and latching mechanism were pretty loose but it was late and I was tired, so I went on in. All three lampshades were ripped and the carpet was filthy. The walls had kick marks and smudges and the tub had a big brown stain on the bottom.
The sheets and duvet looked clean which was a huge relief.
The next morning a different desk clerk was on. This one was rude and seemed angry to be at work. Rather than a breakfast buffet, they have a bag breakfast of apple juice, muffin and a (stale) granola bar. I didn't know about the bag breakfast and the clerk didn't mention it as I checked out. Another hotel guest told me, so I returned to the front desk and asked. Without a word or even a look in my direction, the clerk slammed it down.
Then I went to get a cup of coffee. Of course the pot was empty.
I suggest you avoid this hotel.

I typically try and steer my work stays towards Holiday Inn Express hotels whenever possible. However, if I come back to this area I will be looking at alternatives. The hotel room itself was clean but clearly dated. Little things like cracked lamp shades, slow draining sinks all add up to a place that needs some TLC. I typically can live with those things but the one thing I look forward to in the morning is a decent hot breakfast and some coffee. For some reason there was no breakfast and the early morning staff seemed to be AWOL. I get that things happen but it’s on the hotel management to step up when things go awry. The lack of response indicates a larger issue with this hotel in general.

I usually always give positive reviews, but not on this trip. I have stayed at this hotel for many years. What I noticed on this trip. Floors outside the elevator on the 4th floor were in bad need of sweeping. In my room the sheer curtain hem was coming out, the hem was turned inside out and the weight cord in the hem was coming out. All was very outdated and needed improvements need to be done. The lamp shades were old and cracked, the furniture was damaged. Found a Frito on the floor between the TV stand and the Frig stand. I didn't do breakfast. The bed was comfortable. Hot tub was closed off and couldn't be used. I was very disappointed and would say the company needs to investigate this property as it is NO WHERE up to the company standard that it should be.

My first impressions were awful. Front area is filthy and unkept. In need of much maintenance. Front lobby about the same. Looks like they are trying to update a bit, but in reading reviews looks like they have been in this same state for years. We arrived very late, midnight, (ground stop at O'hare). There was no one at the counter or in the lobby. Had to yell out to get attention. Clerk must have been sleeping, he was dressed in jeans and a black hoodie. The hoodie was pulled up over his head and partially covered his face. It startled me at first as I wasn't sure he really was the clerk. But he was pleasant enough. The room actually was better than expected, reasonably clean, and the bed was comfortable. There were quite a few things that needed repair such as the lamp shades were stained and broken, etc. I froze all night as there was only a sheet and thicker type of sheet on the bed, and no blankets to be had. When we left around 7am, there was no coffee or any breakfast items whatsoever to be had. The room charge was $185, which I felt was outrageous. They also charged our credit card $50 for incidentals. I asked the clerk what was included in the incidental charges, and he said if case we broke anything. What a joke! The hotel is no where near O'Hare as the name states, (14 miles),and the taxi cost us $70 to get there. So for over $200, we got to sleep for about 5 hrs. Should have just stayed at the airport!

This hotel was absolutely the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. We stay at Holiday Inn Express hotels frequently and this was the worst of the worst.
I know they are under construction but the floors were very dirty with food and other stains not construction debris. The room heat was set on 78 degrees. The carpet was dirty with white stains everywhere. The bathroom floor was dirty like it was swept but not mopped.
We were told breakfast was 6-9. At 8 am there was nothing opened and not even coffee. There were no cups in the room so we figured we’d get it on the lobby. There wasn’t even anyone at the front desk to ask about breakfast just a sign read they stepped away.
I would steer clear from this hotel. Very disappointed!

Walked into a lobby with stains on the carpet and furniture. The suite was dirty - carpet and furniture were stained and had crushed food ground in. The pull out sofa was broken and someone had tried to fix it with a grocery bag (????).
Changed rooms since my daughter couldn’t sleep on the broken bed. New room was dirty with dried liquid on the tables. LIVE BED BUGS seen on the mattress. We packed up and left!
It is obvious the owner does not care about this property. This place should lose it’s franchise license.

I would call hotel to check.
Hi! The cemetery is less than two miles from the hotel, so -- off the top of my head -- I can't think of any reason you couldn't walk. I'll defer to the hotel, though; it's possible there's something I've forgotten.
You folks should definitely schedule a visit. At last count, I've visited 117 countries, all 50 states, and all the provinces and territories of Canada -- and in all those places, Chicago is one of my favorite cities. If you don't mind the traffic, Chicago's a wonderful place -- lots to see and warm, friendly people. You'll love it!
exactly about 15 minutes without traffic. the staff is amazingly friendly just ask them for the shuttle its supereazy. enjoy
It was close to highway exit. should be easy
