OK - I have read the reviews and noticed there weren't any recent ones here so as a seasoned glamper I'll add my 2 cents. We happened by Holiday Acres as a referral from a coworker. We went there to check it out and we decided to get a seasonal on the river. We couldn't be happier - great view,...

You'll think the world is coming to an end because this campground is on the train tracks which run and blow the whistle at all hours. I was called a liar for complaining about menstrual blood on garbage cans, faucets encrusted with DNA and poop stained toilets. The pool was smelly with unnaturally green water. Pool was locked and we...

We went here on our first camping trip of the year on 4th of July. There was a spot we wanted but was told it had been taken. Not true no one rented that spot because it remained empty for the two days we were there. The mosquito's were everywhere biting and biting. It semmed like they do not spray for...

I had a good weekend at Holiday Acres. The children spent many hours in the pool. In the evening, the kids played a round of golf. Maintenance was on top of everything. The bathrooms were extremely clean. Finally, the workers were the friendliest people you will ever meet.

We stayed here two nights, and while the staff was very friendly, and overall the bathrooms/showers are clean, it's missing the camping feel. We felt a majority of the campers were residential or seasonal campers, so it felt very empty. Our site was dry and electric for our motorhome worked fine, but we did not have a sewer hookup on...

If you like cold dirty showers, Mosquitos so thick you are hesitant to go outside, and trains shaking you awake at 4:00 in the morning then this is the place for you!! When I mentioned the showers were cold they told me "they were warm yesterday".

Younger kids running around yelling and a screaming all hours of the night with no supervision at all. The white haired lady in the store was extremely rude, and sarcastic while the other lady was oblivious to her. The water smells, the playground is nothing but a Place for kids to get splinters. I have been camping at Holiday Acres for six years. I have never experienced any of the problems listed below. -The pool is not 'dirty.' It's an outdoor pool, how do you not expect a few bugs or such to fall in it. Although the pool was broken, it's not like it was there fault. the pipes cracked in the...

After reading reviews about this place and against better judgment, we booked a weekend here. Here's what we found: The pool was empty and no fence around it to prevent someone from falling in. The bathrooms and showers were completely disgusting and dirty. The staff was rude and combative when asked about the pool and children's activities, which there are...
