The Inn at Irish hollow is located in Northern Illinois just outside Galena, Illinois. The remote location is perfect for those who wish to decompress from life's stressors. The main building was a former general store built in the early 1900's, with living quarters on the second and third floors. There are several newer cottages on the property, but they...

This is the 2nd time we spent at Irish Hollow but the 1st time in one of their Cottages & all I can say is 'Heavenly"!!! It is truly a dream come true hideaway. Everything you could imagine to make a perfect week-end getaway. It may not be for everyone (?) tho you'd have to be nuts not to appreciate...

I couldn't think of a better place to spend our 20th wedding annivesary. We stayed here 2 years ago and we could not stop thinking about the wonderful meals, hospitality and atmosphere. The weather ended up being very atypical for this time of year and we got to hike around the beautiful and peaceful property to burn off some calories...

We just spent a weekend at Irish Hollow in celebration of my husbands birthday and because we were just looking for a chance to " breathe". We expected it to be a great weekend based on the reviews and we were not disappointed. We had a room in the Inn which was beautifully decorated and offered a tremendous amount of...

I cannot say enough about Matthew, the innkeeper, he was knowledgeable, attentive and accommodating in every way. Our cottage, Stonewood, was charming and most private. The food was glorious and the service was incredible. In addition, there are lots of great hiking trails with fantastic views of the surrounding area. The peace and quiet was especially welcome. I highly recommend...

We just returned from the Inn at Irish Hollow. There are a lot of other reviews here and they cover the great things about this Inn. I'll just add my impressions. The cottages are extremely well done and they have everything you would want. We stayed in Olde Orchard. So a few things that stuck out for me with the...

Several months ago, my wife and I had the pleasure of staying at the Irish Hollow Inn in one of their fabulous cottages. They do a fabulous job of pampering their guests. We also enjoyed a seven course meal that was absolutely one of the best meals and presentations ever. We highly recommend The Irish Hollow Inn.

Irish Hollow sets the stage to relax, reconnect, and rejuvenate. This was our second stay at Irish Hollow and both times it was magical! We celebrated our 27th wedding anniversary, valentines day, and birthday this past weekend. Our winter stay was just as rewarding as our summer adventure there. I honestly cried when we left! Tony and staff made us...

Each time we visit, it ruins me. I am so spoiled by the time I leave, ugh! From the time you arrive, the inn is so welcoming, the rooms and cottages are beautiful, well appointed and inviting, the inkeeper and staff are more than accomodating and they think of things before you can think you need them! Everytime you leave...

No TV can be alarming -- but how quickly we adjusted. In fact, why stare at a laptop or a TV screen or even your smart phone for that matter when you have a gorgeous cottage and picture perfect scenary? Loved the food -- its unbelievable! Staff are there to help without being intrusive. We felt very taken care of....
