This was our first real Bed and Breakfast. It is a much different experience than a hotel and you have to be prepared for that. You are sharing a house with strangers, you are staying in a old historic home. Everyone eats Breakfast together, it was fun to get to know the other people staying there and get to hear... More

We have stayed at Queen Anne Guest House 4 times while in Galena on business. Owners, Mike and Anita been amazing every time. The rooms are filled with antiques which just adds to the charm of the B&B. This last time we stayed in the Sir William room-it is the smallest of the rooms. The bathroom doesn't have much space... We stayed at the Queen Anne for my birthday. We were the only people there since we stayed thought the week. The host "Mike" was excellent. He spent time with us telling us the history of the home and the town of Galena. We really enjoyed Mike...who is also a wonderful chef. The breakfast was excellent and the rooms are... More

Mediocre at best. Had a stale smell, owner had a chip on his shoulder. There are plenty of other places to stay in Galena. My husband was ready to leave immediately, but we stuck it out. Never again. Galena, however, is a lovely town with great food and plenty to do. Just don't stay here.

Mike and Anita were very gracious host for the weekend. It was a lot of fun staying in this old house. They have it furnished very well with older furniture. Breakfast was very good Sunday morning. I would stay here again.

My wife and I had a great stay at The Queen Anne Guesthouse on 6/13/15. The location was good with plenty of street parking. The breakfast was excellent. The service was hospitable and friendly. The house is clean and there are several options for entertainment such as board games and movies to borrow and watch in your room. This was... More

First of all galena is a great place to go. We have been there many times over the years and have stayed at several different bed & breakfasts and this time we stayed at the queen Ann's b&b and was not pleased with our stay. We felt that it was overpriced for the condition of the inn. The condition of... More

While I am sorry that they did not enjoy their stay, I believe things went down hill after we refused to allow this person to open the window in the room. It was 25 degrees outside. This is all I have to say. More

We stayed one night and it was a wonderful experience. Mike was very hospitable and served a delicious breakfast. The b & b was located within walking distance to the main street, which was very handy. Mike served snacks and juice at 5, which was a nice added touch.

This was a lovely place to stay in Galena. The hosts Mike, and Anita were just lovely. Mike knows so much history regarding Galena. The breakfasts were wonderful - so spoiling.
