This is our second visit to this BnB. Rooms are beautiful and comfortable. We feel like we are home. Breakfasts are great. This BnB is designed to meet people either in the sitting area upstairs or in places on the first floor. Fun in the Bullard room also. If it's warm go for the room with the porch balcony! Located... We stayed at the steamboat for one night. We had a wonderful experience. The rooms were clean, spacious (ours had a closed in balcony) which was perfect for us! They have a wine and cheese reception and we met another couple that were staying at the B&B. It was a great time by all! I would highly recommend this B&B!... More

We had a wonderful weekend at The Steamboat House! Our room was perfect and the entire house is so cozy and charming. It's in a great location off of Main St. - great for walking to the shops and restaurants. Carol is very welcoming. The drinks at night and in the morning are a great perk - thanks for a... More

When we arrived we were greeted by Carol the owner. She gave us a tour of the house and all the guest rooms. Our room, "Bess", had a charming porch with a wonderful view. A bottle of wine was included with our stay along with wine and cheese at 5pm, delicious homemade cookies and hot beverages at 8pm. A nice... More

I have meant to write a review for The Steamboat House and never did it. While getting ready to write some recent reviews I decided to do it. I'm surprised that it isn't a full 5 star B & B. We stayed there for our 47th wedding anniversary in Autumn of 2014. This is a clean and comfortable B &... More

This B&B was a wonderful find for us. We didn't know anything about Galena or where to stay and were very fortunate to pick The Steamboat House. It is a beautiful Victorian style house with lots of antiques. The room we stayed in was comfy, we met lots of nice people, and ate great food! Carol and Katie do a... More

Not for kids - the house is full of interesting antiques. New owner, but our 3 night stay was as good as ever. Good food, pleasant people, close to downtown. Spent time on the large porch with complimentary wine and cheese each day. Also enjoyed the early coffee and the late coffee and snack. Highly recommend.

Welcoming hostess within a lovely old home. Breakfast was fine as we visited with the other guests when we all sat at large dining table. Within a very short walking distance to Galena which we did in the evening.
