We stopped overnight and spent a day at the guest house. The service was excellent and had great food, coffee and cakes. Our room had beautiful views overlooking paddy fields and hills. Manager and staff were very helpful. It's a nice little place if you are traveling past the hill country. The guest house is in a natural setting so...

this place is close to few attractions.. bambarakanda water fall, even its not too far away from hortain place... if u looking for nice relaxing real srilankan hospitality this the place u must stay... i would recommend this place to anyone.

During our recent visit to Sri Lanka, we were pleasantly surprised to find two nights’ accommodation without a prior reservation at this Inn at Welimada (Janahitha Guest House). The room we stayed was well appointed, clean, spacious and complete with amenities such as hot water and air conditioning. For just $90 (per night) it was a great price for half-board....

I had stayed couple of years (from 2008 & onward) in this pretty charming guest house, laying just 3 clicks from Welimada town itself (when you coming from Colombo, turn left at Bandarawela town's roundabout to take Nuwaraeliya road through Welimada town). The VIP suite rooms where I stayed are situated behind the main guest house, in a private garden...

“Ask Jagath for VIP rooms if you got the budget because its worth the price ! If not you got also normal rooms in the guest house for locals & back packers. Watch out for high season because you may have to reserve in advance VIP rooms”
