The hotel was very welcoming and the young staff were excellent. The parking of the car was no trouble at all with at least 25 signs telling you what to do The food in the morning and the evening meal was excellent.

Bedroom was cozy and plush and the bathroom was big. Bed was really comfortable and there was a little couch that we could snuggle up on. Used this hotel as our home base for Chatsworth and some Peak District walking. Lovely little restaurant too with good food. Ample parking and in a cute little neighborhood. Front desk/ bartender/concierge could have...

I received this as a gift so don't know the cost. Lovely four poster bed, with a gorgeous bathroom stocked with Temple Spa products (if you have never heard of it, think expensive) A seating area to watch TV, The deal came with Dinner bed and breakfast, usually the dinner is a two course with an option to buy the...

Situated in the quaint and walkable village of Pilsley, with the renowned Chatsworth farm shop about a 3-minute walk away, this could not have worked out better for a first stop from the Manchester airport. Jack stored our luggage, and gave us our tickets to Chatsworth as part of our package, so when we returned therefrom, our bags were already...

First visit & wasn't disappointed! Great home cooked food with great service. The atmosphere was lovely & we thoroughly enjoyed our meal. Can imagine that it is very popular so advise to always book for a meal. Will be returning many times.

We stayed 2 nights as part of a road trip up the uk. (Stayed in the room called 'fold') It was probably one night too long in the end. Not much to do and no close options for dinner apart from the attached pub which was ok. The food was very unhealthy with limited choice. The bathroom was large and...

We had a good, albeit small, room (Fold) but it was fully priced. The bar was in reality a restaurant (we were there on Friday and Saturday, it may be different in the week) which makes just having a drink slightly uncomfortable unless you take it to the adjacent lounge. We ate there on Friday and found the catering 'ordinary'....

Hi, Thank you for your review. I accept the point about the limited drinking space. As the building is so small we are sadly limited. I was sad to hear you describe the food as ordinary. Whilst we do position our selves as a traditional pub serving traditional pub fayre, we ensure we source only the finest local ingredients to...

Hi, Thank you for your comments. I have had the widow repaired. Please accept my apologies for the inconvenience you experienced. We have, since your visit extended the menu and have continued to focus on a varied specials board. We do have a small dedicated team who do work, on occasion, back to back shift as you mentioned. Stayed here with my mom while visiting Chatsworth. We arrived by taxi ahead of check-in time thinking they would be able to store our luggage. Called here for lunch, ordered the ploughmans for two to share, lots of cheese, ham, salad, chutney, warm bread and pie.
