I stay at this Marriott when I am in Chicago for work (about 4 times/year). The rooms are good and clean, and the staff is very friendly and helpful. There is a free shuttle that will take you to/from the airport every half hour. It...More
We arrived late and were placed in a handicapped accessible room - which I can't use because of severe allergies to dogs. They moved us to a conference room with a king bed and it was ok, but I didn't feel very valued as a...More

What a pleasure - this is a quality Marriott at a surprisingly reasonable price.

My first impression upon entering the Marriott O'Hare was that I was entering a movie set from the 1980s. Not necessarily a bad first impression, but a bit dark and old looking. Continuing on the first floor, the hotel has a very interesting indoor-outdoor pool,...More

Terminal 5 is the international terminal. My first arrival there was from St. Louis and so it was not the international terminal, it was basically walking outside after getting luggage and then crossing the road (jkwebb had it correctly, across from the Hilton). After our trip to Italy, we came back on an international flight, so it was a different part of the airport to terminal 5, not anywhere near our first flight. I had asked at the front desk at the Marriott where to go for our return flight pickup, and they said just to call them when we got thru customs with our luggage. It ended up being right outside the international terminal. I don't think those run as often as the domestic flights. So yes, as Bob F said above, have their phone number handy and they will be there to get you. It all was very smooth.
