We stayed at this location for a holiday get together and I would call it "just ok". Our room was one of the smallest we have ever had in downtown Chicago. No one in our party of 25 could control the heat in their rooms. The elevators sounded as if they would break at any second. The view we had...

Went to the Drake hotel for the Black Tie New Year's Eve party. Classic hotel in prime location on the magnificent mile in Chicago. For those of you from out of town, this hotel is at the beginning of Michigan Avenue and a wonderful shopping and dining location. It's also on Oak Street beach and half the rooms have a...

The Drake gives travellers an experience to treasure. There is the generous offering of lotions and potions, good towels large room and warm bathroom with controllable a/c. Little touches of class like double stock of spirits full fridge 2 kinds of soap and staff worth rewarding each time. It's a hotel for people who like being treated well and treat...

For our son's wedding after Christmas, our family and all of the traveling guests stayed at the Drake. Also, the wedding reception was afternoon tea in the Palm Court. I can not say enough about the excellent service we received, starting with Nedal who coordinated our room reservations. He was so patient with my many phone calls and many questions....

This is a grand hotel and the room we had offered a great view of Lake Michigan and also of Michigan Ave. There a some nice restaurants and shops inside the hotel's ground level. Area attractions are a close walking distance from the hotel.

Visited in late December with my wife and two college-aged kids. Reserved two rooms in late October for a ridiculously cheap price. I requested rooms nearby each other, which they couldn't accommodate, but they upgraded the larger room to a jacuzzi suite overlooking Lake Shore Drive. Stunning views of Oak Street Beach and LSD Christmas lights, seating area, game table....

This was our second stay at the Drake Hotel for our annual Daddy-Daughter getaway. The room was great - yes it is an old hotel, but that is part of the character I wanted. The lobby decorations were beautiful. Everyone from the staff we encountered from check in to check out was helpful and friendly. A woman named Paloma at...

We arrived while the first snow of the year came in. It was obviously pretty cold and dreary. The Lavazza coffee downstairs was definitely a good addition to the hotel at that time. We brought our four kids with us and getting the family room with a pull-out couch bed is a must. The room is spacious and has plenty...
