Stayed here for the marathon and it was a short walk from the start and finish line. They opened up the cafe early for us to get food and coffee. The room we stayed in was huge and great for four of us. The staff was great and super helpful.

Great Hotel. Location was perfect, I was able to go to my meetings in the day and walk around the city at night. Room was great and hotel service staff was very accommodating. Would go back in a minute.

The Renaissance is conveniently located on wackier just 2 blocks from Michigan. Equal access to the Chicago Art Museum , Grant Park and Shopping. Very nice hotel, well maintained and good security. Lobby and lobby bar are welcoming when you want to get out of your room. Our king room was very nice too. Decent workout facility. Don't miss weights...

Ok, I may be biased with the upgraded room, but this place was really nice. The lobby is very chic, and the staff was nice. The lounge is one of the nicer Marriott lounges with a great evening weekday spread. Shower amenities are Aveda which is nice. The beds were comfy, and the room was nicely appointed. Looking forward to...

You can't beat having the L literally steps from the back entrance of this hotel, and from there you can go wherever you need to. Rooms are comfortable, but standard rooms are cramped, especially with 2 queen beds. Staff meet the Marriott standard and are helpful and courteous!

Spent last weekend here and had wonderful time. Staff is very friendly and accommodating. We had a room upgrade and that was great, but it faced the El and the trains rumble all night long, so bit on noisy side. We enjoyed the Staycation lounge quite a bit for relaxing and enjoying bit of music. The wait staff there were...

The inside/outside bar is spectacular, at least if the weather is good. Gorgeous view of downtown Chicago, with fire pits. I wish a regular dinner menu had been available. My room was a "junior suite." Comfortable bed. Nice bathroom. Odd furniture, oddly configured. No real desk if you plan on working. The regular breakfast place was closed for a private...

For my purposes this hotel came up short. The property itself is nice, the staff is friendly and helpful, and the building is nicely located in downtown Chicago. For a vacation stay, this is a nice hotel, probably worthy of an extra star. There are other hotels nearby that provide as comfortable a stay for less. If you prefer to...

This Renaissance has been completely redone and the remodel was thoughtfully done. First it is located on Wacher Drive right on the river, across the water from Smith and Wolensky's and a block from Michigan Avenue. Perfect to walk nearly anywhere in downtown Chicago or 5-10 minute Uber or Taxi. ROOM: Design is simple and neutral with pop of color...
