This is my favorite downtown Chicago hotel that I can afford. Easy reach from the blue line from OHare. Elegant but not overstated. Nice concierge lounge but on the first floor it lacks a great view of the city. Upgraded room was nice with a small sitting area - clean, comfortable. Everything worked, larger new TV. Great view of Marina...

I've been eyeing this hotel for a while since I saw it when we ate at Catch 35 restaurant. The location is perfect with a river walk in front, shopping area all around, restaurants, Chicago theater, the house of blues, bowling pin and bars not to mention the train access at the doorstep. I've been looking for a birthday/Easter/week end...

I love staying at this hotel. It has a really cool vibe when you enter and the hotel always has something to look at in the lobby. Check is always quick and the rooms are quiet, clean, and comfy. Room service was yummy and the concierge lounge was well stocked. The hotel is in a great location to walk to...

4 sisters in the city for a girls weekend. Front desk personnel was especially friendly and asked if we were celebrating something. We were and they acknowledged our fun! Location is superb; it is close to theatres and easy walk to shopping and wonderful food. Room was nice size and we had a great view overlooking the river. Breakfast was...

Just about the only thing this hotel has going for it is location. The recent remodel is a disaster in my opinion. It's industrial chic, and looks nothing like what I'd expect from a top of the line Marriott. There wasn't even a work desk in the room, and the bathrooms are ho hum boring. For a $300++ room, this...

Enjoyed our recent leisure travel to the city. This hotel is centrally located near Riverwalk, Millennium Park, Art Institute and restaurants. Room was a nice size, decor was fab. Bed was comfy. We got drinks in the rooftop bar...of course, no outside seating available on the beautiful afternoon we attempted to get drinks, but the decor there was inviting and...

I used points for this hotel, and I was generally pleased. We got to the hotel before check in time, so they wouldn't let us check in. They said it would be a long time, so we went to walk around. 3 minutes later, I got a call saying that my room was ready. The room was nice, but very...

Here's the joke of the day. I just paid $76.00 for room service for dinner - and it came in a PAPER BAG with plastic wine glasses, plastic cutlery, a caesar salad with plastic side of dressing - and my salmon in a plastic tray - oh yeah and a plastic glass of water. WHAT A JOKE!! This hotel is...

My boyfriend and I spent the weekend in Chicago and stayed two nights at the Renaissance. We were able to check in around 3:30pm on Friday evening and had a large king room. Two large windows with a table and four chairs, small couch and dorm-sized refrigerator. The bed sheets were of a nice quality and the decor was new...
