My wife and I plus our baby came from Kansas City when we had a very minor mix up with our reservation. Paolo was more than helpful to fix our issue and had us on our way in no time. I would definately recommend this staff for their excellent customer service.

Hotel's Favourite
Our family of four stayed at the Ambassador in June 2021 and loved it so much we returned again in August. We chose to return because of the super comfortable beds (mattresses, pillows, sheets), simply designed (not over-styled) rooms with plenty of space and best was their personal service. Check in was awesome (all desk staff went above and beyond) and the gentleman who brought our luggage to our room was kind and professional (not snooty like some of the 5* hotels we have stayed at). Loved also the quiet location and the easy walk to the lakeshore path for running. Thanks and we can't wait to return!

Response from Bre Smith , Guest Services / Front Office at Ambassador Chicago

154jonh, Thank you so much for this kind review! One of my favorite things about this hotel is that we are set apart from all of the hustle and bustle which means we are quiet, but a plethora of dining and various activities are just a stones throw away! We hope you come back to visit soon.

My stay at the Ambassador was very pleasant. The staff goes above and beyond to accommodate you, and I can't thank enough Melvin, Brie, Kenzie, they were super responsive. The housekeeping was very good and detail oriented. The room service menu was surprisingly good, my favorites were the salmon, the short rib, the grilled cheese (on the kids menu, but amazing!) And last but not least the lemon sorbet, served in a frozen lemon peel! Regarding rooms, I highly recommend paying a little more for the larger floorplan, I believe they call it "deluxe". I have been to other Chicago hotels but the Ambassador is very special to me as the staff really makes you feel like home.

We liked the location of the Ambassador Chicago. We did not know much about the hotel and thought we would try someplace we hadn’t stayed. We had a very enjoyable stay. The staff were great, not pretentious or stuffy. Breakfast was very good, at a very reasonable price. The suite was roomy and very comfortable. We will stay at the Ambassador again.

When you walk into the ambassador it's like you step into 1940. You can't miss the architectural details. You do not see detail like that in new hotels. Customer service was great, breakfast was amazing, and you are blocks from the lake. I felt like old blues would walk in at any point but was able to enjoy modern convinces.
