I've chosen to stay here on a few occasions due to the great price and location. After my last visit, I won't be giving another chance. First I had to have my room moved due to the bathroom smelling like sewerage. Every visit, the elevator goes out. The building is older and they are doing renovations but after coming down...

I have stayed here with my husband on many occasions over the last 10 years and this place is a great budget place to stay in downtown Chicago just steps away from the Magnificent Mile. You may want to bring your own towels and pillow if you can, and if you can afford to stay somewhere fancier, well, good for...

Toilet was falling apart, walls outside the room were falling apart, All three ice machines were broken! Call the front desk to get ice (I just had knee surgery) She said I would have to talk to a supervisor... said ok them hung up on me. Called back she said I could go to 7-11 buy ice and get reimbursed....

You get what you pay for, this was a cheap one night stay. It's definitely got a vintage feel, which I LOVED...but it needs a fresh coat of paint & is in dire need of cleaning. There was absolutely no hot water, like it was being pumped straight out of Lake Michigan. The toilet was cracked & the plug in...

We do a baseball stadium tour every summer and when we went to Chicago we stayed at Red Roof Inn. Other that a terrific location, there's not much to like about this hotel. The rooms are very small - almost claustrophobic - as is the lobby. The parking is a fortune (granted they have a valet), but you're in downtown...

The location is really good, very close to Michigan Street, but the room and the bathroom aren't clean. They offer room service, fresh towels daily, but no breakfast (is not a big deal, because there are a lots of good places to have the american breakfast). I don't think about going back to this hotel.

I wasn't sure what to expect after reading the reviews. It didn't seem possible to find a decent hotel at this price steps from Michigan avenue and Miracle Mile. But I was wrong. The staff was courteous and efficient. The rooms were clean and spacious, with hardwood floors instead of the usual dingy carpets, strong wifi and not much street...

We wanted a place close to Magnificent Mile and it was close. It was also close to an ambulance service. The room was terribly overpriced & extremely loud. We could hear the people in the room across the hall eating potato chips watching Saturday college football. The bathroom door didn't close (must have shifted during the earthquake of 2008). Cujo...

Visited recently with family. I had read a lot of the reviews and was prepared for the hotel not to be great and it really wasn't. The location was fantastic though and we spent a lot of time out and about. Our room was tiny and there was a lot of noise from ambulance sirens. Beds quite comfortable. Bathroom absolutely...

Hotel is old and in need of some updates. It was clean and service is really good. It is in the middle of it all, minutes from everything. Highly recommend if you dont intend to spend a lot of time in your room.
