I'm not exactly sure when they renovated this hotel, but it's absolutely worth a visit now. The room was well decorated, beautiful and functional furniture and modern electronic amenities (except no free wifi). The (king) bed was plump and comfy and the bathroom was well appointed -- a nice oversized shower with glass doors. Every detail was thought of and...

I took word of mouth advice and booked a long weekend at the Blackstone, and cannot tell you enough how pleased I was with the stay! The hotel is beautifully decorated and clean, my room was extremely spacious and modern. The view was the best part-absolutely stunning! I could've spent more time just hanging out in the room bc it...

Very stylishly updated, excellent front desk, bellman (Rory? Been there eight years, sorry if I messed up your name), concierge services. Room 1722 overlooked Grant Park, lake, and bonus fireworks Wednesday and Saturday eve at Navy Pier. Marble, large bath. Walk in shower, Avena shampoos, self closing toilet seat, though wallpaper not my taste. Nor was modern chair with ottoman,...

We had a seminar here just this past weekend. The facility is beautiful for the seminar. The staff was attentive and helpful. There is not really anywhere to gather in the hotel. The hotel bar/restaurant is small and closes early. It is a very lovely hotel, be sure to ask for a lake view when heading here

My husband and I stayed a total of 5 days in this luxurious comfortable hotel right on Michigan Avenue. The staff was friendly and attentive to help with transporting our luggage, keeping our room clean and fresh, and sharing great information with us as we toured around Chicago. The hotel restaurant was also a real plus, serving delicious gourmet food...

We stayed here for a few days while attending our son's graduation from grad school. The lobby is pretty funky with a pool table and vintage-looking furniture. Our room was very nice, though the chairs were a little on the well-worn side. Very comfortable bed, nice linens. The bathroom was spacious, clean, and decorated in an op-art fashion. Located right...

Blackstone rooms are beautiful, spacious and the hotel is conveniently located. I went during the weekend of the "TASTE OF CHICAGO" -- although I wasnt there for that event, I stayed at this hotel (right across the street). The staff was friendly, however, i would have liked to get points for the stay. At $200+ per night...should it really matter...

Although a very historic property the staff is ill-trained and not very friendly and personable. With the exception of Rory, a bellman who should not only be on the front desk but training the front desk staff in customer relations, the staff is not up to Renaissance standards. As a member of Marriott's very highest level, someone who lives at...
