Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Very good location. Polite and nice staff. The room was clean and the bathroom very nice and clean. Not much variety at breakfast but ok. Pretty quiet though you can hear sirens. Would stay there again. We were in a family room and it was spacious enough for us.

Although a bit outdated, it is comfortabel and clean The service is remarkable. Excellent. People solve problems, go out of their way to help you. Real good. We loved the location. Walls are a bit thin though. Although we wouldn’t have selected this ourselves:: All in all it was good enough for the occasion, a pleasant stay.

I have been to this Hampton Inn a few times. I am from Chicago but moved out of state awhile ago, my sibling has moved out of state and my parents are gone. But Chicago will always be home. Well, this Hampton Inn feels like home. The gentleman who is the valet is amazing. He is kind, funny and I truly think of him as part of my new Chicago family (we hugged goodbye--I have NEVER done this). The guest services' attendants/check in clerks are all very kind, hospitable, helpful and gracious. You are not just another patron to these folks, and I love that. The hotel is very much in the boutique style in that it is not huge or fancy, but that is part of its charm. From the street to my room takes like five minutes. Ice machines are handy, rooms are clean, fairly large, comfortable and have easy access. And if you are trying to find a place to stay in the theatre district or near State Street or Michigan Ave., this is very well-situated. If I could get a job as their ambassador, I would totally do it. There is a complimentary breakfast plus coffee and hot chocolate 24/7. I really can't say enough about the staff and facility. I took pictures of the staff and hotel (which I never do, and I have traveled all over--but I have zero tech skills, so I sadly don't know how to upload them). It really is just terrific. Thank you. I didn't want to leave. :)

Room Tip: Breakfast area is small and does get crowded. But it is also kind of fun to meet new people.

Everything about our stay was absolutely perfect. The staff could not have been sweeter or more helpful. Robyn, the front desk attendant, was gracious, even in the line of fire. I heard one guest chastise her for the coffee pot being empty, and she just kept smiling and courteously answered that she’d take care of it. We’d absolutely stay here again!

We were visiting to celebrate our birthday and to watch a friend in his play. The hotel was conveniently located right next to the venue! Robin, you lived up to ALL the hype I've read about you in the reviews! Awesome clerk! Very helpful and accommodating. Would definitely stay there again when visiting the Windy City!

This is probably my favorite Hilton brand hotel in Chicago. The quietest hotel in the city, thanks to two separate windows - every time I stay at a hotel in this city its a crap shoot as to whether I will be awaken by trash trucks at 4 am or sirens from a nearby firehouse. This is well insulated from the noise - there aren't many rooms per floor - so there's never a long wait for an elevator like many other hotels. This will probably be my go to in chicago from now on.

We had a fabulous visit at the Hampton Inn Majestic Chicago Theatre District this past weekend. The hotel accommodations were very nice and everything was sparkling clean but the staff deserved the 5 star rating! They were efficient, friendly and accommodating. I’d be happy to go back! We were there for a wedding and it felt like our home away from home. Good job!

You would expect a boutique hotel with some missing amenities in a building like this, not a chain with the usual things you expect. Lots of shopping and theaters. Great Indian restaurant 3 blocks to the southeast. The ONLY complaint was having a mirror with excellent lighting for very close up. But I didn’t care that much, vacation and nobody knows me.

Great location, great room and great staff (Robyn and ALL.) Traveled to Chicago to see BOOP, THE BOOP-OOP-ADOOSICAL in the Majestic Theater right next door to the hotel with my daughter (who played Betty Boop recently in a Delray Beach Playhouse (Florida) show called SHOUT and my son who flew in from Connecticut for a Christmas reunion. It could not have been more perfect. There is a door in the hotel directly into the lobby of the theater! Close to Michigan Avenue and Millennium Park and lots of great places to eat. WE WILL RETURN!
