First, I can say that I stay in a lot of hotels, and I used to work as System Administrator, IT Consultant & IT Managers in differents hotels and resorts (including Marriott Brand) and the smell of the lobby is out of this world I really love it, I would really love they sell that scent so I can have...

Thank you, Lollapalooza has become one of Chicago’s most popular annual festivals and it is our pleasure in welcoming guests like yourself from around the world. Also appreciate the kind words regarding our rooms and staffing, we take great pride in our hotel, and our associates are hands down the epitome of Midwestern warmth and friendliness. While there are some...

Overall, the hotel was gorgeous and right in the middle of everything -- so perfect location! In regards to the area and the people, the days were busy and things came to life, the nights were pretty laid back and smooth. My room itself wasn't bad at first -- but after becoming settled in I realized that was a short...

As your review is an extreme anomaly from the vast majority of our other guests, we regret you chose not to address this with hotel management while you were still in our care; thus denying us the opportunity to properly research and rectify any issues, and for you to have had a more satisfying stay.

I was here for a conference this month. It was a pleasant surprise. I have stayed at other JW's and I must say, this rates at the top. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted by my name as a hand was extended to help me out of my car. My room was beyond what I expected and it...

High praise indeed, thank you! And while the pace of Chicago’s Financial District may slow down in the evenings or on weekends, it definitely doesn’t sleep. Some of our city’s more prestigious restaurants are just steps away and well known to Chicago natives, on your next visit please ask one of our adept Concierges for recommendations. The best part of...

Nice hotel. We stayed on points of a friend's husband - one group had a room with two queens and I stayed in the room with the suite. Very nice and roomy. Bed was very comfy. The suite area was nice and could easily hold our group of 8 with no issues. Would return. Only thing I didn't like was...

Thank you, and we wear the Marriott name with pride. Our namesake established this business on the premise if one takes care of their employees, they in turn will take care of their guests. We are fortunate in having arguably the best staffing in the Midwest, and they are attuned and intent on delivering the best possible visit for all...

Stayed two nights here when I visited on business. The rooms are large, spacious and very clean. The writing table was large the chair ergonomically correct and the single seater sofa was comfortable ato relax and watch the reasonably large sized TV in the room The service, when requested, was efficient However in room dining options were far lesser than...

Thank you for the overall positive review, and our apologies for anything that distracted from what should have been a perfect stay. As we are determined to ensure your stay meets or exceeds your expectations, on future visits if you should find any aspect of your visit unsatisfactory please ask to speak to a manager. This was my third stay at this wonderful JW Marriott hotel, perfectly located in the centre of the business district, just a block away from the Willis tower. Friendly staff, comfortable rooms, lively bar area and a good restaurant plus a small pool and an excellent gym area - this hotel is a really comfortable home away from home. Recommended.

Skeptics questioned the logic of placing a luxury hotel in Chicago’s Financial District. Nearly five years after opening, the JW Marriott not only set the new standard for luxury in Chicago, but provides a comfortable and convenient respite for the savvy business traveler too. Our Lobby Lounge is as popular with the local clientele as it is with our international...

Stayed her for business meetings in early June. The location is ok. It's a decent walk to Millenium Park or the Magnificent Mile or anything worth seeing. I prefer to be on the water or have a view of something. Last time I stayed at the Swissotel and it was awesome! A nauseating, overpowering cologne hits you in the face...

We are surprised and regret your experience varied so much from our other visitors. For future stays with us or our competitors, we would ask you speak with a manager should anything not be to your satisfaction. This would allow the hotelier an opportunity to properly address and deliver a stay worthy of your expectations.

We stayed in this hotel over the fourth of July for 4 nights and it could not have been better. The 1 bedroom executive suite was fabulous and well priced. While our physical attributes may define us as a luxury hotel, and our associates set us apart from any of our competitors, when a Top Contributor to TripAdvisor gives us such a glowing review how could it not go to our heads? We stayed here on a whirlwind touristy trip. The hotel is beautiful and the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful - proving great restaurant recommendations and directions. The location is central - in the financial district - we stayed on a weekend and it was still quite bustling and fun!

Thank you, as more and more leisure travelers have discovered, forget the chain stores and restaurants along the Mag Mile and explore the “true” Chicago. Rich in its architectural history, innovative dining options, a theater district second only to New York, and museums, sports venues, and entertainment options that can fill your summer. Beautiful, spacious bathrooms (for the city), though I can't figure out why no one has bath tubs anymore? Large room (again, for the city) that blacked out well at night - got great sleep. Thank you for the positive review and for including us in your extensive hotel portfolio.
