I was there for a quick overnight and it was just out the door from the Red Line (from the airport), which was convenient both ways. Doesn't have much of a street presence and the lobby is quite Spartan but functional. Seems quite safe. The room was nicely furnished and everything worked, though I could have used a slightly larger...

Overall, my sis and I enjoyed our New Year break at the Kimpton Palomar. Right in the centre, great staff, comfortable rooms and the metro right outside - very convenient. One thing on this occasion: I don't know if it's because it was new year but the hotel seemed very quiet and didn't have the buzz, festive or otherwise, that...

This was a great place tucked away about a block or so west of Michigan Avenue (the Magnificent Mile). The room was ample sized...not huge, but not too cramped. The view was not spectacular, but no real complaints. When we arrived, we missed the happy hour (free wine), so they gave us a few coupons to the bar to get...

We stayed here last weekend for Easter and had a fantastic stay. The hotel and staff are hip, the suite we had was fairly priced, freshly decorated, well appointed, and very clean. The rooftop pool is a little small but fine. The fitness center has very good equipment for a workout. The rooftop deck was a nice surprise with a...

We went to Chicago for my birthday weekend. The staff surprised us with cupcakes in the room. They are probably the best hotel staff I have ever dealt with (especially Amanda). The location was perfect. There are two ways that they could improve the experience....the pool was cool (temperature). I wish there was a hot tub. Also, there was no...

I've stayed here several times. The first time I visited was great and I had absolutely no complaints. The most recent visit wasn't as great as I had noisy neighbors and anytime anyone would talk in the hallways, it was very apparent. The doors are definitely not sound proof. That so far has been the only drawback. Otherwise, it's a...

Located north of the Chicago river making this hotel convenient to most Chicago sites, museums, dining, shopping. The service was outstanding on all levels; very attractive rooms, complimentary happy hour. Staff was very accommodating allowing a late check-out. Fitness center on top floor is excellent.

We enjoyed everything about the Palomar...particularly the friendly, very helpful staff. We really like the Kimpton chain of hotels! The evening wine and snacks gathering is very nice, and we got great tips for restaurants from the concierge. The family was there for the NCAA Frozen Four at the United Center, and our dress was pretty casual the whole four...

I traveled to Chicago to meet with clients at the Willis Towers nearby the Kimpton Palomar. Weather issues resulted in me being very behind schedule. I had allowed myself plenty of time to arrive at the hotel get situated and make copies of my presentation. However, that all fell apart and I was at a loss. That's when Madeline at...

I did a lot of research on a hotel in Chicago and glad I booked the Palomar. Walking distance to Michigan Avenue and the Red line is across the street along with Jewel-Osco if you need to pick up a few things. You will want to grab some breakfast items because they do not offer that but there is free...
